PALAK MATRI | APPETIZERS | DEEP FRIED SNACKS

Have you ever listen this name???soal..Iam asking about the recipe name friends. i saw this recipe in a news paper.i have this in my mind from a long time.but postponing it every time.now the day was came.really you people cant believe.
how tasty these fritters are??
This is the first time i prepared these snack and came out very well.. i loved it ciumiam sure.you guys will like this.go with the full recipe and try it.


This is one of the popular indian snack which is deep fried called as palak matri..The butter which we adds in the process gives a very soft texture and nice taste to the matri...It is one of the perfect snack to enjoy with hot time..also,kids enjoys definitely..No doubt...If spinach is available at your place try this and enjoy..

Ingredients

all purpose flour-1 cup+2 tbsps
very finely chopped spinach-1 cup or grind coarsely *not paste *
melted butter-1 tbsp+3 tbsps
dry ginger powder-1 tsp (optional)
salt-to taste
oil-for deep frying

Preparation

1.mix flour,ginger powder,salt,1 tbsp butter and spinach(i used frozen) you can use fresh one too in a mixing bowl and mix well. in a small bowl take flour add melted butter and make it like a fine paste..

2.by adding water make it into a fine dough.(like chapathi dough)

3.divide the dough into big balls and roll it using with rolling pin.it should be thick.

4.now apply the 1 tsp of butter+flour mixture and sprinkle some flour and fold it.do the same process again for 2 times.totally you have to do 3 times. every time you need apply the flour mixture after rolling it like chapathi and fold it every time.

5.now finally roll it like chapathi again cut into squares or diamond shapes..heat a kadai with oil and deep fry the matris in a low flame. that`s it easy and crunchy palak matris are ready.......

NOTE
Instead of butter you can add ghee.it gives a flavourble taste.
