CARROT BATH | RICE VARIETIES

HI..friends..today iam posting carrot bath..i have already posted carrot rice..but this is little bit vary from that..sp,plz check it and let me know..


Ingredients
rice-2cups
carrots-4-5
ground nuts-1/2cup
mustard-1tsp
curryleaves-5springs
hing-1/4tsp
mint leaves-1/2bunch
coriander seeds-1tsp
sesame seeds-4tsps
cardamom-2
cilantro-1bunch
green chillies-4
ginger garlic paste(GGP)-1tsp
salt-to taste
pepper-5
cloves-4
ghee- or butter-5tsps
Preparation
1. wash and soak the rice for 15min.grate the carrot and chop the chillies.chop the cilantro and mint leaves too.
2.heat a pan add butter or ghee and start tempering by adding the mustard,curryleaves,hing.
3.add in GGP,chillies,mint and cilantro leaves too.fry well in low flame and keep it aside.
4.now in other pan dry fry ground nuts,sesame,cloves,cardamom,coriander seeds, and pepper.make them into a coarse powder..add this to above mixture.
5.now a big vessel add water.when water starts boiling add rice and above whole masala mixture and let it cook.
6.before 5minutes add add grated carrot and mix it once.when rice cooked completely off the flame.don`t open the lid for 15min.
serve with rasam or curd or any raita....
