MILKY CASHEW UPMA/UPMA WITH MILK/KAJU UPMA /QUICK AND EASY UPMA RECIPES


We all know regular sooji/rawa upma..doing same recipe with the same asusual ingredients i felt bore..sedihthen i thought to try a new change in doing the sooji upma...kenyit
this time i added milk instead of water and cashews instead of veggies...senyumkenyit.....It came out very nice and yummy.....my hub just loved it..love..Then i thought to share this yummy upma with you all friends guys......rindu

Ingredients
sooji/rawa/semolina-1cup
milk-2cups
green chillies-4
ginger garlic paste-1tsp
water-2cups
cashes-10-15

TO TEMPER
ghee-2tsps
cumin-1tsp
mustard-1/2tsp
urad dal-1tsp
curry leaves-1spring



Preparation
dry toast the sooji in a pan...boil the milk and keep it aside.......
in a kadai heat ghee and put temper with the items which given under the table......
add green chilles,cashew,GGP and saute for half min.add water and salt..let it boil..
when the water starts boiling simmer the flame and add sooji slowly with one hand and stir continuously with other hand..
when it is half cooked add milk and mix it well......
NOTE
If you want in loose consistency add some more water.....want in thick use less water..
I added milk 2cups and water 1cup...
