RICE FLAKES PAYASAM/ATUKULA PAYASAM/POHA KHEER

Today is ratha saptami...one of the important fesival associated with LORD SURYA...SWEET PONGAL OR VADAS are preferred nivedyam to the lord sun..The rituals observed on this may vary form region to region...

I did this rice flakes payasam as a special...it is very easy to prepare and tastes really wonderful... here it goes......

Ingredients
rice flakes/poha/atukulu-1cup
sugar-1cup
milk-3cups
cardamom powder-1/2tsp
cashew-5
ghee-3tsps

Preparation
heat ghee in a pan and fry the casew and keep it aside..
in the same toast the the poha til crispy an turns to light brown....
now in other pan boil the milk and add sugar..
add in poha and cardamom powder into it......put the flame in low..poha should turn into soft.........
off the flame and garnish with cashew and serve..
it tastes good hot and even cold tooo......
