SESAME PULAO



HI....angel
friends..hope You all are fine..We use sesame generally as a ingredients in dishes..but i tried it as main ingredient in the rice..We all know many types of pulavs and biryanis..Iam going to introduce today a very new and different rice pulav with sesame..that is SESAME PULAV.senyumkenyit

I think u never heard this name..it is a simple pulav..but tastes awesome..I can say that you people will love this.....here it is..try it...rindu





Ingredients
basmati rice-2cups
sesame-2tsps+1tsp
ghee-4tsps
cashew-10
almonds-5
saffron-a pinch(option)
cloves-3
cinnamon-1inch piece
cardamom powder-1/2tsp
nutmeg powder-1/4tsp
salt-to taste

Preparation
wash and soak the rice for 30mins.
fry cashew and almonds in the 2tsps of ghee and keep it aside..
dry toast the sesame and keep it aside..
now in a thick bottomed vessel take 2tsps of ghee add cloves,cinnamon and rice.fry for just 2mins...
after 2more mins add salt,nut meg powder,sesame,cardamom powder......mix well.
now add milk and water and let it boil......
after10-15mins simmer the flame and cook for 5more mins.
after rice cooked completely garnish with cashews and almonds....
and sprinkle the 1tsp of sesame on top of the rice....
