TOMATO CILANTRO CHUTNEY




This is very simple and tangy chutneysenyum. we need very simple ingredients which we use in our day today kitchen..You can add temper if you want..but this time i skipped it for a changekenyit..even it tastes good.here it is..check it guys...

Ingredients
tomatoes-4
chopped fresh coriander-1cup
tamarind paste-1tsp
sesame-3tsps
garlic-3
cumin-1tsp
salt-to taste
green chillies-2
red chilli-2
oil-1tsp

TO TEMPER/popu
oil-1tbsp
mustard-1tsp
chana dal-1tsp
curry leaves-1spring
asafoetida-a pinch
Preparation
heat kadai with oil add in red chilli,cumin and sesame seeds and fry well for 30secs.after cools make into a fine powder....
to the above powder add in garlic and grind it again.....keep this aside..
in the same kadai add in chillies,tomatoes and cook til tomatoes are mushy.....add cilantro and cook for a minute..
now grind the this into a paste.....and add in above grinded powder.mix together well.
put the temper and add in chutney...
serve with hot rice.....
