CABBAGE PEASARAPAPPU KURA/CABBAGE MOONG DAL CURRY


this is a healthy curry of cabbage with moong dal combination ..A perfect dish to serve with roti/pulka.




Ingredients

shredded cabbage-1/4kg
moong dal/pesara pappu-1/2cup
coconut powder-1cup
onions-2med size
green chilli-5
ginger-small piece
turmeric-1/4tsp
salt-to taste
oil-2tsps
Preparation

boil the chopped cabbage for 2-3 minutes and drain the water and keep aside.........

soak moong dal for 30 minutes...chop the onions and slit the chillies.....

heat oil in thick bottomed vessel and and fry the cashews.........

add in finely chopped ginger,chillies, and fry for half minute.......

add in onions and fry til transparent........

now add in soaked dal,cabbage and coconut powder.....add in turmeric,salt too.........

close with lid and cook this for 8-10 minutes......you can observe the nice smell......

that`s it.....of the flame and serve with rice or rotis....
