DRY BLACK JAMUNS/KALA JAMUNS DRY VERSION

We know gulab jamuns.........we know kala jamuns too...........right???...................so, this one is mixed of the both recipes of jamuns ......and i tried in different method.......I prepared these jamuns with gulab jamun mix powder..and i shaped the jamuns in oval shape and deep fried black in colour. like kala jamuns.........


Ingredients

gulab jamun mix powder-2cups
milk-2-4tsps
sugar-3tsps
cardamom powder-1/2tsp
ghee-1tsp

FOR SUGAR SYRUP

water-for syrup
cardamom powder-1tsp
rose water-1/2tsp
sugar-1cup

Oil-for deep frying

Sugar-1/2cup-for rolling(i didn`t rolled)
Preparation

In a bowl add sugar and approx-2 cups of water and boil it......

Add in cardamom powder and rose water too..........

The syrup should turn to thick and it should be warm.........Keep this aside(keep this in the rice cooker in warm mode)........

In a mixing bowl add gulab jamun mix sugar,caradmom powder and ghee........

Mix this with fingers well............

To this by adding milk slowly make into a soft dough.........(milk should be add carefully..other wise it will form like lump)

Rest this for 15 minutes and make into a small round or oval shaped smooth balls.............

Heat right amount of oil and start frying the jamuns...........

Fry batches wise in a med-low flame.......once they are in golden in colour.remove........

after 4-5 minutes fry jamuns again til turns to dark brown in colour............

prepare like this all jamuns......and put them in the warm sugar syrup...........

after 1hour remove from the syrup and serve............

yumm n tasty dry jamuns are ready to serve..........

NOTE

roll the jamuns in powdered sugar which gives a rich taste............
