RIDGE GOURD CHUTNEY | BEERAKAYA PACHADI | EASY PACHADI RECIPES FOR RICE


AMMA makes chutneys and pickles simply yummy....Coming to this I like to try different chutneys which are perfect to serve with hot white rice along with some pure fresh ghee.This is a simple chutney using ridge gourd...so,here goes the recipe..
Ingredients
chopped ridge gourd-2 cups
onion-1 small
green chilli-4-5
garlic-3
salt-to taste
tomato-1
turmeric-1/2tsp
tamarind paste-2 table spoons
oil-2tsps

TO TEMPER| POPU |TADKA
oil-2 tbsps
mustard seeds-1 tsp
cumin-1 tsp
curry leaves-1 sprig
urad dal/black gram-1 tsp
chanadal-1 tsp
hing-2-3 pinches

Preparation
in a kadai heat oil and fry the ridge gourd pieces til turns lightly soft...........
add in tomato pieces and turmeric and cook til mushy..after it cools grind into fine paste......
now in the same kadai add oil and make temper with given ingredients and add in the chutney.....
serve with hot rice............
