I love to try different rice recipes.....This is one of the recent rice dish which i prepared for lunch.I have a rajma packet in my cup board from a long time......so,i thought to try a rice variety....I did n`t added  much spices in this.
so, it`s a healthy rice with less spice,even kids also can have it easily.If you like can add some spice powders like red chili powder,garam masala,coriander+cumin powders which may enhance the flavour of the rice....But,try this version too.Here the recipe goes......

Ingredients

basmati rice or normal rice-1 cup
rajma/kidney beans-1 cup
mint leaves chopped-1/2 cup
green chilli-4-5
salt-to taste
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
cilantro leaves-1/2 cup

TO TEMPER
oil-2 tbsp
cloves-3
cardamom-2
bay leaf-2
cumin- 1 tsp


Preparation

wash and soak rajma overnight and pressure cook for 3 whistles......wash and soak rice for 30 minutes....

Heat oil in a pan and fry the ings which mentioned under the list......add onions,chillis.mix once..add in GGP and mix..cook for 2 minutes til onions turns to soft......

add in salt, cilantro,mint leaves,rajma and cook for 2 more minutes..Add sufficient water and let it boil....

when the water starts boiling add in rice and .....cook til rice done......

off the flame and add in some more cilantro leaves on top or sprinkle garam masala for flavor and serve hot with curd raita
