SORREL LEAVES RICE/GONGURA ANNAM

Hi..hope you all enjoying  the day greatly.....As i said i have some more recipes in my draft list.

Coming to this recipe It is a very easy one..and you no need to add any masala powders or spicy ingredients..If you have gongura leaves readily you can go to do this...Even kids likes the tangy taste of rice because of the leaves which we are using.......You can try with left over rice too....O.K..Now here goes the easy rice recipe.........


Ingredients

cooked rice-2 cups
chopped gongura-2cups/2 bunches
green chilli-4
onions-2 med size
salt-to taste
coriander powder-1 tsp

TO TEMPER

oil-2 tbsps
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp
curry leaves-1 sprig

Preparation

Heat oil in a kadai and add ingredients which mentioned in the list under "to temper"..fry for just half minute...

add in chopped onions,green chili,salt and fry well.

Add in chopped gongura and cook til it turns to soft..It takes only 2-3 minutes...

Add in rice and mix well.add in coriander powder and mix again........

Serve hot with curd n pickle...
