DRY FRUITS CHOCOLATES

Recently i saw this recipe in a cookery show......Its a mix of dry fruit powders....I loved it..and iam sure kids love this........here it goes.......


Ingredients

plain chocolate bar-1big
cashew powder-1/4cup
almond powder-1/4cup
desicated coconut-1/4cup
peanut powder-1/4-cup
pista powder-1/4cup

Ingredients

mix the all powders and keep aside.......

melt the chocolate......(i used below method)......

in a large pan add water and let it boil now break the chocolate into pieces and tip this into
other small bowl.....and shift this on top of the boiling water pan......

after completely melts off the flame..........

now add powders mixture into the melted chocolate...

in the moulds fill this and refrigerate for 30 minutes.......

yummy DRY FRUITS CHOCOLATES are ready to taste.......

EGG PULAO



Iam back with one more spicy,yummy,delicious and tempting pulav..peluk.....that is EGG PULAV.....I makes egg pulav on sundays usually....this time i thought to share this yummy pulav with you all..........love.........

Ingredients

basmati rice-2cups
eggs-5
onions-2-small
tomato-1small
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1tsp
mint/pudina-1/2bunch
green chillies-4
salt-to taste
cinnamon-1inch piece
cloves-3
cumin-1tsp
cardamom-2
bay leaf-2
curd-1/2cup
oil-3tsps

FOR EGGS

chilli powder-1tsp
cumin powder-1tsp
coriander powder-1tsp
turmeric-1/2tsp

Preparation

wash and soak the rice for at least 20minutes..........

chop the veggies and boil the eggs.....remove the shell and make slits on top of the eggs......

in a bowl add in chilli powder,turmeric,besan flour,corinader powder and cuin powder and mix the eggs.....coat these spices well to eggs........and keep it aside......

heat thick bottomed vessel and add oil ........

add cloves,cinnamon,cumin,bay leaves,cardamom fry this for half minute..............

add in chillies,onions and fry til transparent..........

add in tomatoes,curd,mint leaves,GGP and salt.fry well..........

add in rice and water(water measure depends on rice quality)........while boiling add in well coated eggs.......

cover with a lid and cook on medium flame...........when the rice cooked completely low the flame for 5minutes before going to off the............

open the lid after15minutes and serve.................

hot and spicy egg pulav is ready to serve with raita, gravy,lemon wedge and onion slices............

COCONUT KAJJIKAYALU | DEEPAVALI SWEETS | SOUTH INDIAN FESTIVAL SWEETS


KAJJIKAYALU is one of the famous sweet in telangana region........we mostly called it as GARJALU.....AMMA makes this mostly for diwali and dasara festivals......and BAKSHYALU/POLI also........(will post it soon)

kajjikayalu are so many types with different filling...........mostly i prefers sooji filling,dry fruits powders stuff and coconut filling.......This time iam introducing coconut filling..........so,here goes the recipe..........

Ingredients

TO MAKE KAJJIKAYALU
all purpose flour-1cup
salt-1 pinch
butter-2tsps

FOR FILLING

fresh coconut powder-3/4cup
cardamom powder-1tsp
sugar-1/2cup
crushed almond powder-1/2cup

oil-for deep frying
Preparation

In a bowl add in flour,salt and butter and make into a smooth dough by adding water........


cover with a wet clean cloth for 20 minutes.....

HOW TO PREPARE THE FILLING

in a pan heat 1 tsp of ghee and fry the coconut powder..........

to this add in almond powder,sugar and cardamom powder too..........

fry this for just 5 minutes in low flame........

stir well to avoid burning the coconut........keep it aside for 10 minutes.

HOW TO MAKE KAJJIKAYALU

Divide the dough into equal size balls in round shape..........

Roll it like puri and stuff the 1tsp mixture and apply the oil to the edge of the puris........

stick the endings of puris and close it and press it lightly..........

Actually i used kajjikaya maker which i have...........it saves the time and gives the perfect shape....(see the below pic)

make like this all.heat oil for deep frying.......

fry 3-4 at a time til light gold on top....

serve the tasty COCONUT KAJJIKAYALU.........

CHAT CUPS

Ingredients
maida/all purpose flour-1cup
rice flour-1/2cup
roasted peanuts-1/2cup
chat masala-1tsp
finely chopped onion-1/2cup
curry leaves-1spring
lemons juice-1tsp
sanna karappusa-1cup
oil-for deep fry

Preparation

mix flours by adding water make into a smooth dough...........

divide the dough into small size balls. and roll like puri.........

now to a very small bowl stick this puri and make it like a cup..... (i used muffin cups)

prepare all like this and keep aside.......

heat oil and put the prepared dough cups and fry..........

when the puri is frying it will separate out from the bowl............

fry well all til in golden colour.........

combine all the other ingredients and fill in the cups..........

serve to your beloved once........

SPICED RAITA | QUICK AND EASY CURD RAITA RECIPES | MASALA PERUGU PACHADI

CURD RAITA


This is an easy spicy raita which you can serve with any rice dishes......

Ingredients

curd-2cups
finely chopped onion-1
garlic paste-1tsp
red chilli-2
curry leaves-1spring
green chilli-3
salt- to taste

TO TEMPER

oil-2tsps
mustard-1/2tsp
cumin-1/2ts
turmeric-pinch


Preparation

heat oil in kadai add in cumin,mustard,turmeric and fry the onions til light brown in colour.......

add in garlic ,green chilli,red chilli,curry leaves fry for 1more minute...........

after cools add in curd along wit salt............

refrigerate this for some time.......and serve..........

believe me.....you will love this............have it with rice...

DOUBLE CABBAGE DAL


Hi..guys..how are you all?iam fine....and as usual busy with kids.........my elder son dev loves to watch TOM N JERRY mostly...and he just crazy abut that shows.....actually i prefers 1-2 hrs once or twice in a week..if once he started watching he just want the whole day...that is the problem with him....last week he watched continuously without any gap....he don`t want to close the show..and he is suffering with fever again......huh....It`s very difficult to care and understood the children right??
Guys,please take care of your children..i mean don`t give any electronics like mobiles,ipods,laptops.....if they started using once its very difficult to control them....for every thing there is an age limit... coming to my part iam trying to spend much time with him now a days..and iam really busy too to meet you all.
I think it may take some more time to catch you all...iam eagerly waiting for the day......even iam not visiting ur blogs you all are encouraging me with ur lovely comments......thank u friends........THANK U SO MUCH.and i have some more posts in my draft.....so,hope you enjoy the recipes.......thank u friends....love u all..........

So,here a healthy and tasty recipe which you can serve with rice or rotis......

Ingredients

purple cabbage shredded-1cup
yellow cabbage-1cup
pesara pappu/moong dal/green gram-1cup
onions-2small
green chilli-5
turmeric-1/2tsp
salt-to taste
oil-3tsps
GGP/ginger garlic paste-1tsp
garam masala-1tsp
coriander powder-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
mustard-1tsp
curry leaves-5
chana dal/bengal gram-1/2tsp
urad dal/black gram-1/2tsp

Preparation

Wash and soak dal for 20minutes before going to cook...........

heat oil in kadai add in mustard,cumin,chanadal,urad dal and curry leaves.............

add in chopped onion,GGP and green chillies and fry well........


add in 2 cabbages and mix all together..........

add in salt and cover with lid for 3minutes........

now add in turmeric,soaked dal and stir it once............

close with and cook this for 5minutes til cabbage turns to soft.........

add in 1/4cup of water if curry is too dry.......actually cabbage oozes the water while cooking.......

finally add in garam masala and coriander powder and mix well...........

add in cilantro and serve with rotis.......

healthy and tasty double cabbage is ready to eat with rotis......................

GINGER PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

I like the ginger n garlic flavour.........dry ginger powder which is called as sonti podi in telugu is very used often in medical purpose.........i tried once ginger cookies...so,this time i added some peanut butter for a different taste................

Ingredients

all purpose flour-1 1/2cup
butter-1/4cup
peanut butter-3/4cup
baking powder-1tsp
baking soda-1/2tsp
eggs-2
dry ginger powder-2tsps
brown sugar-1cup
gems-to decorate
Preparation

sift flour add in ginger,baking powders and soda too...........

beat the eggs and add in sugar,2 butters and mix well.......

combine both and make into a soft dough..........

now roll this like roti in thick form and cut into pieces by using a cookie cutter.......

arrange all on a baking tray which is lined with parchment paper......

stick the gem in each cookie and bake for 3o minutes in the preheated oven at 200c......

keep an eye when turns to light golden on top........you can observe the ginger powder smell........

cool them on a wire rack and serve with milk..............

APPLE PUFFS


I know vegetable puffs and egg puffs.........first time i saw this apple puffs in a cookery show.......so, i tried it as soon i watched.....iam in hurry while making this....and my little one is crying...so, i didn`t took pictures well....but there is no compromise in taste.believe me and try this........



Ingredients

puff pastry sheets-1 big
green apple-1
sugar-3tsps
cinnamon powder-1tsp
cardamom powder-1/2tsp


Preparation

roll the pastry sheet with pin........cut into square shape.......

chop the apple into very fine slices.....

add in powders and sugar...........

place some sliced apples and close and using fork press it lightly to stick well....

in a baking tray place aluminium foil and arrange the puffs and bake for 25-30 minutes.......

after turns to golden brown remove and cool......

serve warm with a glass of milk or coffee......

you can use mango or red apple too...

GREEN PEAS PULAO







Ingredients

Rice-2cups
onion-1 sliced
peas-1cup
green chilli-4
cloves-4
bay leaf-1
cardamom-3
staranise-1
cumin-1tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1tsp
oil-2tsps+ghee-1tsp
salt-to taste

Preparation

Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes........

Heat pan with oil add cumin..after crackle it add cloves,bay leaf,cardamom and staranise........

add slit length wise green chilli and onions......saute til transparent.........

add in GGP and peas and fry for 3 minutes...........

add in soaked rice,salt and water as needed and cook in a medium flame................

check the rice whether done or not.........simmer the flame for 3 minutes before going to
off.......

when the rice cooked completely 0ff the wait for 10 minutes to remove the lid............

serve with curd or raita or any gravy dish...........

It is a very easy and simple and healthy rice dish.............

MOTHER`S DAY SHOPPING & SOME GIFTS



HEY...........Friends........how are you all??how you celebrated the mother`s day??......coming to my part actually from last few weeks iam avoiding to out sides in weekends.....but suddenly on this 13th we went out side.we started at 3pm and we returned at 9pm..means in 6hrs we completed the shopping.....so,.i would like to share this some happy moments.....you can see the handbags(below)..those are the gifts(3 big ones) i got from my both kids........how sweet na??.......

whenever i prefers to shopping i just check out the bags,chappals and watches.....and in gold section i just love rings and bangles.....some times i thought why don`t the god given some more fingers to us??(if have can wear more rings na.....hehehe)...recently my hus visited china(in march) and he brought a white&gold ring for me.....oh...it was so pretty....O....K.....

How many of you likes to use perfumes........HU......oh my god.....i just hate the perfumes....(sorry to say)don`t know why??.....i feels like vomiting sensation and some uneasy feeling in tummy...but my hus is quite opp to me...he just love perfumes....whatever i hate he loves that....what a couple na..(of course..99% of couples r same like us..i know)...he forced me to bought these perfumes...2 for me..1 is my hus n other 1 is for my kids..........Mostly men/hus likes electronics i think.....he bought this I PAD n PRINTER....are n`t they looking nice??...iam not interested in those things any way.....

When i was in india i used LACTO CALAMINE......after came to foz i started using hinds brand rose milk cream..now i shifted to this almond flavoured cream........and we bought 2 guitars for kids....my son started playing with guitar..he just loved it.he said min 100 thanks to his dad..such a good boy........and,oh......my ears are paining with that music....still iam enjoying it..hehehe
