GRILL FISH/WHOLE FISH GRILLED/STEP BY STEP PICS/LESS OIL-EASY TO MAKE-HEALTHY RECIPES

NON VEG DISHES FOR DINNER
DH just loves sea food.. ..Like FISH,PRAWNS,CRAB the list will be very long...Before marriage I never cooked any thing in non-veg..Even I did n`t touched the fish...Amma knows how to clean and she makes FISH PULUSU(FISH IN TAMARIND GRAVY) perfectly..

Grilled food is most healthier than the frying.Even we couple also don`t likes deep fries..So I prefer grill method or pan fry methods mostly instead of deep fryings.This is the basic grill fish recipe in indian style which i make often at home for dinner.I hate fish smell but particularly this whole grill fish is my favorite it does n`t have any raw fish smell at all.Ingredients are so simple which every one have in their kitchen and If you don`t have GRILL PAN can try this in oven too..So,Here it Goes... ....

INGREDIENTS

Whole Fish Fresh-1
Chilli powder-1 table spoons
salt-to taste
garam masala-1/2tsp
coriander powder-1/2tsp
cumin powder-1/2tsp
hing/asafoetida-1/4tsp
oil-2tsps
ginger garlic paste/GGP-2 table spoons
lemon juice-1/2wedge
turmeric-1/2 tea spoon

Onion chopped-1
Tomato chopped-1
Lemon slices-2

Aluminum silver foil-As needed
brush-to apply oil

HOW TO MAKE
First wash and dry the fish with kitchen towel or using paper towel.Use a sharp big knife to put some slits on top of the fish.Make a long slit in one side up to 3/4th ..It should be like open book,but not completely..Check below image.

Mix chopped onions and tomatoes.Add 1/2tsp of oil,1/2tsp of chilli powder and 2 pinches of salt...Keep this aside.Start mixing the spices all in a plate.Add in all spices along with GGP,oil and lemon juice too.....make it like fine paste..

Now coat the spices mixture to the fish completely...Make sure that fish covered completely with mixture or not.And now fill the fish belly with mixture of onion and tomato carefully....

take aluminium foil and put the fish and place 2 lemon slice on top and cover it with foil completely..take care while wrapping.. Keep aside this for 20-30 minutes......

Heat  Your GRILL PAN and brush it with oil....If its hot place fish and cover with lid..Every side you should cook for 15 minutes.

Keep the heat in high (My pan is like num system.So, I put it in the 5 means its a high) for first 15  minutes.With care slowly flip it and cook for 10-15 minutes.This time keep Flame in med-low.I put it in 3.

So,Finally FISH grilled well and completely........Remove the foil and place it in  a plate carefully......Serve hot with salad.......It just melts in your mouth.......AHA...



MY NOTES 

You can use any other veggies like potato,carrot or bell pepper..Its your choice..Adding hing helps in digestion.

Use less spices.Otherwise they dominates the fish.Use GGP According to fish size.My fish is big so,I added 2tsps of ginger garlic paste.And It reduces the smell of fish.......

Covering with foil cooks faster and  gives best result too...If you are using oven keep the flame in 200 C to bake completely..Lemon slices on top gives kick.....It`s highly recommended.....Finally be careful while eating. Enjoy!!!!
