SWEET CORN SPINACH GRAVY/HAPPY SANKRANTI

WISH YOU ALL HAPPY MAKARA SANKRANTI FRIENDS.....

Hi...Hi....Hi...Happy morning to all...How are you guys?how guys enjoyed last two days??...Mine was good.....O.K.....Now to the recipe..Not in mood to chat some more.....It`s almost night 12...feeling sleepy....hehehehe......

The sad part  of here is we don`t have many leafy veggies except spinach n amranthus leaves...And those two also can find in some particular season of the year..Whenever i found spinach never miss to buy..Every time doing just fry, curry with onions or dal felt boring. So,Instead of these three decided to cook some new gravy and searched out in web.....So,Finally i got this recipe from  a news paper and the ings are super simple...So,without any wasting time i tried it and i served this with rice n rotis too.....It`s reall dead easy to make and tastes good too......It goes well in the parties also....So,Next time when you buy spinach just remember this and give  a try...I promise. You,guys never disappoints.... ...Iam sure.Just give a look down now......YO.....YO.. ...

PREPARATION TIME-15 minutes
COOKING TIME-20minutes
SERVES-3-4

Ingredients

spinach/palakura-2bunches
sweet corn-1cup
moong dal/pesara pappu-3tsps
green chili-3
onion-1 small
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1tsp
fresh cream-1/4cup
garam masala-1/2tsp
cloves- 5
cardamoms-3
chilli powder-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2tsp
oil-2tsps
METHOD

Chop onion and spinach finely.Drain sweet corn ...Keep these aside.....

Pressure cook the dal, spinach, cloves, cardamoms, turmeric, onion, green chilli n ginger garlic paste.

After 10 minutes or 3 whistles off flame n wait til it release air.....

Mash spinach dal lightly and heat a kadai with oil.....

Add in mashed Spinach+dal, sweet corn, chilli powder, salt and garam masala.Cook this for 3 minutes..

Now add cream and off flame after 2 minutes..

MY NOTES

Use less chilli powder if you want...

Adding cream is the important pat of this gravy....

Can skip the garlic if you don`t like.....

I used canned sweet corn.Try with fresh corns if you like.

Finally this tastes best with rotis....

HAPPY BLOGGING
