CATEOGERY-HOME MADE RECIPES/BASICS/GHEE/CREMA DE LECHE RECIPES
COOKING TIME-30MINUTES
RESULT-300ML OF GHEE(APROX)
RECIPE SOURCE-MY FRIEND
Iam not fond of GHEE even from my childhood..
....I only eats ghee with sweet jaggery rice and polis which AMMA makes for Festivals That too particularly on UGADI.Even AMMA don`t makes ghee in home instead she buys a 200 ml of packet on festival times...So,I Never got a chance to see the making of ghee in home..After marriage i observed that my MIL likes to make GHEE in home....Every day After boiling the milk she separates the butter from milk and stores in fridge..When it is in large quantity she use to make ghee. It`s a lengthy process. But the smell of home made is really awesome and its a nice aroma.

I don`t know that this Recipe may useful for others except Brazilians and paraguayans .......Because The cream which I used here is CREMA DE LECHE which is a famous brand of paraguay called LACTOLANDA...Lactolanda brand is very popular in dairy products like 0% fat milk, full cream milk, yogurt, butter, cheese and cream..Recently they started marketing milk powder too...Almost these all dairy products I use in my daily kitchen..
....
The crema de leche which I used here is a 1ltr packet and contains 40% fat.....I got approx- 300ml of ghee....It may not looks like our indian ghee completely..But there is no difference in taste and smell...Making of the GHEE is little bit lengthy process...So,should spend time approx 30 minutes to complete the process..
In the starting I always bought packets of ghee in INDIA and used for MAHADEV..But after knowing this recipe i was really happy and stopped using store bought..I should say thankx to Vijetha who shared this recipe with me.....When i was tried first time I confused her in phone once and later she came to my home and showed the making of ghee....Now,Iam very happy that I can make ghee in my home and my both boys are really likes to eat with rice...
...
THANK YOU SO MUCH VIJETHA.

EASY TO DO WITH PICS

HOW TO MAKE
First, just put a small cut to the packet using scissors..keep this packet in a bowl and put it in the fridge for 24 hrs......(I kept it in my tea mug )

| google pic |
After 24 hrs remove from fridge and put it outside for at least 1-1 1/2 hrs...
HERE YOU STARTS MAKING GHEE
grind the content of packet in mixy jar around 2-3 times..Just mix with spoon in between when u stopped the jar.this helps you to ooze the water..
carefully throw the water by using colander.keep this ready aside first..
Til completing the water run the mixy.May be it may took 2 more runs.so,totally you should do for 4-5 times.....
* DON`T RUN THE MIXY WITH HIGH SPEED.IF,SO CREAM MELTS INTO BUTTER AND YOU MAY NOT DO THE FURTHER PROCEDURE.
Once the water is removed from the cream tip the butter content into the heavy thick bottomed pan and on the flame..
Keep the flame in medium and start mixing.....After 5-8 minutes you may observe that white bubbles which floats on top now....
This is the water content which you can throw away using a spoon..So,carefully remove the floating white bubbles water..
*THE WHITE BUBBLES ARE DEPEND ON THE GRINDING PART..IF YOU GRIND WELL THEN MAY NOT GET LOTS.
Again start mixing.....mix.mix mix until you observe the mixture looks like ghee......
Once the mixture is thick and there is no bubbles means GHEE is ready......
Let it cool for some time and strain once again......transfer into a bottle or ghee pot..

Keep the packet in fridge for exact 24 hrs..before going to make keep at least 1hr outside....
In winter you may keep the cream packet outside...
Grinding part is very very important.never lazy to do....
Keep stirring continuously to avoid burning..
Strain finally to get pure mixture....
Never use expired contents..Result smells badly :-(
....HAPPY BLOGGING!!!HAPPY COOKING!!
