Hi..Guys..How are you all? Today Iam going to share a wonderful sweet recipe which is very tasty and delicious..
My hubby is coming back from china trip. So,on this special day i just want to welcome my DH with sweet yummy Halwa....This is little bit different with regular coconut halwa....It may take approx 30 minutes of your time to make it..And its worth try Recipe..Even this halwa can prepare for festivals as prasadam/Nivedyam also..So,Off to the Recipe...
CATEGORY-COCONUT/HALWA/SWEETS
PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTESCOOKING TIME-20-30 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
Coconut-1 full
rice-1 cup
jaggery-200gms
food colour-any colour(I used Yellow)2 pinches
cardamom powder-1tsp
cashews/kaju-few
ghee-1/2cup
badam/almonds flakes-few
Wash and soak rice for 2 hrs....Fry cashews and almonds in ghee..Remove and take into a plate...Spread a tsp of ghee in a plate and keep side ready..
Remove the brown part of coconut and cut into pieces..
Grind these pieces along with rice til smooth..It should be like vada batter...
In a thick bottomed pan take jaggery and add water til in covers.Let it boil....
When the jaggery syrup is in string consistency add cardamom powder and ground rice+coconut mix....
Stir continuously otherwise it may burn from the bottom...Add in ghee and food colour.....
When the Halwa starts leaving pan from sides off the flame and remove into greased plate..
Give a good shape and spread cashews and almond flakes on top.. Let it cool for some time and cut into square shapes.....
Serve warm ......
MAHAS NOTES
Syrup consistency is very Important other wise you won`t get halwa.....
Always coconut measure should be high and rice low...
If you add rice more halwa sticks in mouth while you eating...
You can reduce the ghee.
THE MEASUREMENTS ARE GIVEN EXACTLY WHICH I FOLLOWED....

innovative delicious and lip smacking halwa.
