Mahaslovelyhome crossed 5000 comments..One more occasion to celebrate and Iam happy to share this with you all..It`s a small achievement of My blog..but still I like to share this.So,I would like to share this with a CAKE as a special..This was my third attempt using beet root in cakes..First time to make it completely I used wheat flour,beet puree n honey i think..

EGG LESS CHOCOLATE COFFEE BREAD PUDDING/EASY BREAD PUDDING WITH COFFEE TOUCH/NATURALISTA DE PUDIM DE PAO DE CAFE


Iam quite late in posting this week`s  1st Recipe in Mahaslovelyhome....I know I will be busy on Mondays,but after shifting home I  was very busy n every minute Iam running out  every where in home.As you all know That my elder son MAHADEV started going to school in the afternoon time..After so many searches finally we found one transport n today he went to school by bus with many other kids..He will be back in 1/2hr now.So,there I spent some time n later completed my cooking,cleaning,washing etc,..

Coming to the Recipe,Iam very energetic n some times lazy too....To cook only for my self i choose easy methods or no baking Recipes specially......But some Recipes makes us very tempt to try out soon.In the same way I was attracted to this pudding after seeing in Laura kitchen..Luckily I have some white bread in my fridge too.So,tried this pudding..The changes which I made are I skipped EGGS to make it vegan n I added chocolate in the place of cocoa n I added coffee on my own for a kick n I halved the recipe too....

WHAT YOU NEED

White bread slices-8-10
milk-1 1/2 cup
cream-1 cup
sugar/1/2 cup
coffee powder-2 tsps
vanilla-1 tsp
chocolate grated-1/2 cup
chocolate chips-1/2 cup
cinnamon powder-1 tsp



HOW TO BAKE

Cut the bread into pcs n keep aside...Mix all the INGS one by one except bread slices.Make it a smooth mixture.

Now add in bread pcs and give good mix to coat the mixture to bread pcs..

Preheat oven to 200C.Apply butter to the glass bowl and pour this bread custard mix  into the bowl...

bake for 30 minutes...Before  going to stop oven add in some extra chocolate chips and after it turns to golden colour off the oven..




MAHAS NOTES

After removing from the oven I poured some chocolate syrup on pudding.

Adding coffee is my personal choice..If you like add or just skip it..

Instead of cocoa I added bitter chocolate grated..It`s really very delicious..So,choice is yours.

In the original recipe she added eggs..But i skipped eggs to make it eggless. N  tasted really good.

RAJMA BREAD AMARANTHUS LEAVES VADA/KIDNEY BEANS BREAD VADA/THOTAKURA BOBBARLU VADA/EASY EVNG SNACKS/DEEP FRYINGS


I know..Nowadays Iam not visiting your blogs,but Iam really busy in home,work along with kids..Sure will find some time soon n definitely will check out all recipes..Til that please cooperate with me..Thank you all..


I don`t accept deep fryings to eat or even to cook also..But I have some pressure cooked rajma in fridge..So,Tried out this vadas..I heard that this types of vadas or any spicy snacks go well tea as combination..Now I agree with that.Luckily I tried these between 3-4 pm and took pics after finishing frying soon n instead coffee prepared some tea n had along with Tea..It`s really super hot delicious combination both vada n Tea..I really enjoyed..Hope you guys will like this too...

This is one more easy vada which you can make often with simple Ings...So,here it goes......


CATEGORY-DEEP FRYING/RAJMA/VADAS
PREPARATION TIME-20 MINS
COOKING TIME-20-30 MINS


WHAT YOU NEED

Rajma/kidney beans/bobbarlu-1/2cup
amaranthus leaves/thotakura-1/2 bunch
onion-1 med size
bread powder-1/4 cup
curry leaves-1 sprig
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1/2tsp
salt- to taste
bengal gram/chana dal/chanaga pappu-2 tsps
baking soda-2 pinches
green chilli-5-6(paste or minced)
oil-for deep frying

*ACC TO RAJMA QUANTITY USE AMARATHUS LEAVES(QUANTITY)..


HOW TO COOK

Wash and soak rajma for over night n in the next day morning drain n grind them into coarsely..

Neat wash and chop amaranthus leaves very finely and mix in rajma..Chop onion also very finely and mix in it..

Now except oil add other those like GGP,salt,green chilli minced,soda,bread powder,chana dal,curry leaves  and mix....Make it like a soft dough..

Heat oil in a kadai and prepare vadas using your palm and deep fry them in med-low flame...

Once done remove n take them on a paper towel to remove the excess oil..

Make some Tea n serve vadas along with Tea..Awesome combination.......
MAHAS NOTES

I replaced green chilli with red colour chillies...

Use dried bread slices to make powder n this helps in binding the vada dough..

whatever the ings u adding/uisng  here make sure the about quantities..

** After preparing vada dough,Once if the oil heat Just drop only one vada and let it fry first..If it is good without loosing shape then go with remaining..**

MINT SHARABT/MINT RASAM/PUDINA SHARBAT/SUCO DE MENTA/PUDINA RASAM/SUMMER DRINKS


Actually we are in winter with cold breezing winds..I don`t like winter personally,but still Iam trying to spend with cool mind.....Winter brings cold,rains,heavy winds n finally every one in the family starts suffering with cold n cough....MAHADEV attacked on chocolates for the first time on last few days back  n now he is with cough n MAHADHIP don`t likes to wear socks n jacket,SO,obviously without second option he is with cold,cough n fever now....It`s really one of the toughest job to take care of kids in this season.

If it`s winter, I  like to enjoy the weather with a cup of tea along with hot mirchi bajjis If possible..But It`s very very difficult to find besan flour N I missed informing to bring when DH was in India...Hmmm.After coming to here I changed allot n forgot so many foods like pani puri,pav bhaji,bajji, pure fresh sweets,flowers like this many more....Now My big wish is want to taste all foods which I missed here.Just Waiting for the Day......

O.K..O.K...I`l  give a break here.. Coming to the Recipe-It was in my  draft list form a long time..The reason why Iam posting this now is Presently the  people from other sides  are in hot summer n I thought this may gives refreshing with little bit health touch for them..Mint leaves are very rich with  medicinal  properties..N helps in digestion system,gas trouble,headaches etc..If you are interested to know more here you have some info..check this....

                         
I regularly buys MINT leaves to make chutneys,to use in biryanis n pulav n to make BUTTER MILK GREEN N  mostly I prepares this drink..Here the INGS which I used are very familiar and mostly they makes your stomach clean.People who likes to weight loss can make this in large quantity thrice in  a week N for every 1-2 hrs can take a glass....Now Iam in the category of weight loss n trying to control my taste buds very hardly....HEHEHE..

 we have 15-18  types of Mint.Here which you are seeing is different with regular one n it`s available in  all  seasons...

mint leaves-1full bunch
cumin  powder/jeera podi-1tsp
fennel powder/sompu podi -1tsp
carom powder/voma podi/vamu podi -1tsp
pepper powder/miriyala podi- 1tsp
lemon juice- squeeze 1 big
salt- to taste
water-1ltr


HOW TO MAKE

Cut mint leaves.Wash well and grind into paste....

To this add remaining all INGS and mix well til combines or else run in juice mixy jar and If you have just pour this in a pot to keep cool....

Other wise just take into a bowl or tea jug and have it for evenings in hot summer..

SWEET ROTI/SUGAR HONEY ROTI /EASY BREAK FAST IDEAS/QUICK DINNER RECIPES/KIDS RECIPES/MOTHER`S DAY SPECIAL/NO NEED A DAY TO CELEBRATE FOR MOMS I THINK


I don`t have so  many sweet memories of my childhood except very very few...And the biggest sad was we lost our Dad on may 13th  when I was 14.N my little younger bro was just 7yrs old.The same day I realized that the relations are not for ever n every one should leave this world when they completes their life span..Amma was depressed for few months and later she started working full time for us..Amma is the very brave n strong lady which I know in this world very familiarly..She is stubborn n strong hearted person..After Dad expire She started working and til today she is doing same job..Nowadays she is suffering with knee pains n running a small general store at home.She never likes to sit at home and says woman is the back bone of the home.So,have to work if possible other wise have to care of of the family with perfect maintenance....

May be I look like my Dad,but I feel the characteristics are my Mom.Like stubborn,strongness,brave,honest and hard working..Hehee...Coming to my brothers My younger bro is interested in cooking and agreed with his request and now he is working in a famous hotel...And lit one is interested in CA and preparing for the exams along  studying degree...

AMMA..This Recipe  is for you...You gave me every thing.I know you loves me allot and thinks every second for me n for my sweet bros...I know you never asks for gifts or other else but A heartful hug n kiss which are very precious for you...LOVE YOU AMMA

I was emotional,I just remembered all these suddenly when I saw this pics while updating..
Because,AMMA  mostly prefers light food for dinners and often she makes Semiya upma or rotis..Can you believe?I never helped mom except only sundays(that too rarely)in kitchen and she was also so sweet that she never annoyed me.While she rolls rotis I sits near by her and waits for the last dough ball..After she completes making rotis I just grab that remaining  dough and makes sugar rotis only for me...hehehehe..B coz,AMMA don`t likes adding sugar and says sugar/sweets are not healthy..But Daughter is also same like mom.(Stubborn)I just completes my rotis with adding  lots of sugar and finally requests amma to pan fry them..hehehe.Such a lazy girl Iam..You know this rotis tastes awesome when you eat  warm..I really enjoys this rotis.But after my kids i stopped making these and for the recipe specially I  made these n you can see the pics that how yummy they looking??...Are n`t they!!!

WHAT YOU NEED

Wheat flour- 1/2 cup
salt-1/4 tsp
oil-1tsp
sugar-few spoons(acc to ur taste)
oil-to fry
honey- to spread

FOR STUFFING

fresh mango chunks-few

HOW TO MAKE

Prepare dough by adding flour,salt with enough water and keep aside for 15-20 mins.

Knead dough again with a tsp of oil and roll little bit..like round in shape or rectangular shape.

Now spread sugar on top and wet the edges with water drops and fold and roll it again using extra  dry flour..

Now fry them in hot tawa and remove..Spread honey on top n apply completely.

Stuff mango chunks(or any fruits pcs you like ) and serve immediately....

COFFEE CAKE/WHEAT FLOUR COFFEE CAKE/TORTA DE CAFE/CROSSED 1 LAKH VIEWS/CELEBRATION N TREAT TO ALL MAHASLOVELYHOME READERS N LIKERS


Mahaslovelyhome crossed 1 LAKH VIEWS..Iam so happy for this.....N feels little bit unhappy too.I gave a break last year for few months and the Recipes which I posted did n`t have the num of related tags.Iam like 0 knowledge in the starting and even does n`t thought about learning..But from last december I was serious about blogging and working out very hardly and sincerely..

I was eagerly waiting for this post that when I observed that Mahaslovelyhome is going to reach 1 lakh  views  soon..Due to the shifting of the home Iam busy from last 10 days and don`t have time even to touch my Lappy..Almost we settled down (foz do iguacu) in our  new flat except very few works are in pending.And yesterday MAHADEV went to school.Hey!!!Now we thought to send only for half day means from 1pm to 6pm.So,yesterday I stayed with him til he completes..we couple are so happy about his schooling.

 O.K..coming to the previous topic,I want to thank all who visits Mahaslovelyhome regularly,who likes,who follows,who comments with their sweet words and for every one THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH..YOU ALL GIVING  ME LOTS OF SUPPORT,ENERGY AND HAPPINESS TOO....HEART FUL BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL...


Coming to the Recipe It`s coffee flavoured cake..Iam just crazy about coffee and can`t  start my day without a cup of coffee....When I thought to bake some thing Coffee  came into my mind.Soon I searched out for Recipes and finally got Recipe from the pioneer woman and the link is here....In the same blog I got tres leche cake and it was in my to do list.Wish soon I`l bake that too..(Yup.Iam in diet.haha)...

Coming to this one I added here wheat flour and halved the recipe.And for the ICING I choosed the quantities  acc to my taste.You can see that in the pics clearly that the icing is not so buttery n thick.But,It`s really one of the  tasty and perfectly came out cake in which I baked.The coffee flavour of the cake tempts you and gives real kick while you eat..Who are the coffee lovers those definitely  must try this....

Coming to the pics....I baked this in the evening and took pics at 7pm:( So,you may understood now why Iam saying this..because of darkness of outside and lacking of light in the home the pics are very poor  and i was not joyful with pics too(but not with taste.NOTE THAT GUYS)...

WHAT YOU NEED

wheat flour-1 cup
sugar-1 cup
butter- 1stick
salt-1/4 tsp
coffee-3 tsps(nescafe I used)
butter milk-1/4 cup
egg-1
baking soda-1tsp
baking powder- 1tsp
vanilla-1tsp

ICING

butter-1/4 stick
sugar powdered- 1/2cup
coffee crystals-2tsps
heavy cream 1/4cup
salt-2 pinches


HOW TO MAKE

Pre heat oven to 200c.Grease tins with butter and dust with some flour.Remove excess flour as well.

Boil 1/2 cup of water and add coffee..keep aside..Met butter and Add the coffee mix to this and boil for only few secs n set this aside.

Break egg and add in sugar,vanilla,butter milk and mix well....

To this add baking powder,soda,salt  and flour.Combine every thing well....

Now add the Coffee mix and give a good mix.It should not be hot before going to oven..

Bake it for 25- 30 mins or til done...

ICING

Mix all the ings which given and apply to the cake when it`s cool..Refrigerate this for 1 hr n slice it n serve..

SOYA CHUNKS SWEET CORN PULAV/MEAL MAKER SWEET CORN RICE PILAF/ARROZ DE PEDACOS DE SOJA/VEG KEEMA RICE/SOYA CHUNKS RECIPES/SWEET CORN RECIPES



Sudden disappearance  of MAHASLOVELYHOME..HAHAHA. I told in my Jan 1st(MILK POWDER JAMUNS) post that we are going to shift home..The day was came last week and finally completed today.Oh...My god! It`s Really very horrible to settled down with luggage n furniture.. In FOZ for every apartment they have some particular rules n restrictions....May be the rules are good but to adjust  it may take some time...

most Important reason for shifting is my kids education...we decided to send to school both..Hope they like.


I have few recipes in my draft and will post those all this month..You all know that caring kids along with managing home is little bit difficult...So,I thought  to give some gap for photo session now..Definitely will meet all your blogs soon..

This was my own idea of adding sweet corn with soya chunks in rice..It`s really very delicious and worked out the idea....I was so happy with pics...Hope you all like too....Now to the Recipe....

I recently started again using SOYA n did n`t have recipes many more except soya chunks roti. Soon will post different SOYA Recipes in Mahaslovelyhome.


CATEGORY-RICE PULAV/SOYA CHUNKS
PREPARATION TIME-30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Basmati rice-2cups
cooked soya chunks-4 cups
sweet corn-1cup
green chilli-4
onion-1 small
salt-to taste
turmeric-1/2tsp
red chilli powder-3/4 -1 tsp
oil-1 tsp
cilantro leaves/kottimeera-1/2cup tightly packed
pudina/mint leaves--1/2 cup tightly packed
cashews-5-6
ghee-2 tsp


TO TEMPER
cumin-1/2 tsp
shahijeera/black cumin-1/2 tsp
curry leaves-5-6
cloves-3
cinnamon-1"inch stick
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
cardamom pods opened-2


HOW TO COOK

Wash rice twice and soak in water for 30 mins..boil soya chunks til soft and drain them..drain sweet corn from tin and keep aside..

Chop onion length wise very finely..Heat oil and ghee in thick bottomed vessel and when its hot add in INGS which under the list(TO TEMPER)

Saute twice and add in broken cashews and roast them til light brown in colour..Now add onions and green chilli and  GGP. Cook til brown in colour.

Now mix In cooked SOYA CHUNKS and saute for 1 minute..Then add in sweet corn and  mixed up every thing..

Add salt and cilantro+mint leaves and cook for 5 more mins..When every thing turns slightly mushy add rice with enough water.....

Check the water level and cook til rice done....Your Pulav is ready to serve..Have with raita or gravy..


MAHAS NOTES

You can use normal rice too.

Can add any other veggies n skip sweet corn.

I used canned corns..Choose it your self..

Grind mint n cilantro leaves n add in the rice for a change.
