TOFU EGG RICE/EASY RICE RECIPES/TOFU RECIPES



I started cooking TOFU from last year...It`s very healthy n  low calorie too..So,who loves paneer can replace it with TOFU..I cook mostly curry,gravy,masala n rice with TOFU...This time for  a change i just mixed it with egg in rice..It`s really tasted yummy n spicy..You can use left over rice or fresh cooked rice too..Here i tried with left over rice..But Serving immediately is Important...This is the good way to feed kids also...So,the Recipe here goes....


RECIPE SOURCE-RICE VARITIES/TOFU RICE
PREPARATION TIME-20 MINS
COOKING TIME-15 MINS


WHAT YOU NEED

Cooked rice-2 cups
onion-1 chop finely
tomato-1 small chop finely
tofu grated or chopped very finely-3 cups
egg-1 big
salt-to taste
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
green chillies-3
red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1/2 tsp
chat masala- 2-3 pinches(opt)
turmeric-1 tsp
cilantro/kottimeera/coriander leaves-few

TO TEMPER

Oil-2 tsps
cumin-1/2 tsp
fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
cloves-3
cardamom-1 crushed
curry eaves-1sprig


HOW TO MAKE

Heat a woke with oil n ones hot add in Ings which mentioned under TO TEMPER..

Just saute for few seconds and add green chilli  chopped onion..To cook fast add in salt little bit and n cook for 2 minutes..

Next add tomato diced and mix well..Once tomato turns mushy add in GGP,other spices like turmeric,garam masala,salt,chilli powder and mix very well...

Cook for just 3 minutes then mix TOFU and stir well to coat the spices...Cook this  for 3 more minutes..

Now break egg in TOFU mix and soon stir it without late...now it`s look like scrambled egg.

Finally cook for 5 minutes in low flame and mix rice....Add chat masala n cilantro..Give a good final stir and serve hot with any dal or gravy or rasam....


MAHAS NOTES

I just mashed TOFU with my hand...

I served with Tomato dal and tasted really good...

Skip chat masala if you don`t like.

Finally I used left over rice...
