CARROT SPINACH PULAV/PALAKURA CARROT PILAF/PULAV RECIPES/ONE POT MEAL RECIPES


HAPPY SATURDAY EVERY ONE!!  
In some particular months only we get spinach here...I have lots of carrots in my fridge..So,This time for a change I mixed carrots and spinach and prepared some delicious pulao...this is the first attempt of mine and its really very very delicious and healthy meals too..This one pot meals is healthy and yummy too.You can serve with raita easily..

PREPARATION TIME-20 MNS
COOKING TIME-30 MNS


WHAT YOU NEED

Basmati rice-2 cups
water-as needed to cook rice
spinach/palakura- 1 bunch/2 cups tightly fitted
carrots -3 small
green chilli-4-5
salt- to taste
chilli powder-1/2 tsp
turmeric- 1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP- 1 tsp
onion-1 small
garam masala-1/2 tsp

TO TEMPER

Oil-1 tbsp
ghee-1 tbsp
shahejeera-1 tsp
green cardamom pods -2
cloves-3
cinnamon stick-1/2 inch stick
bay leaf-1 small


HOW TO COOK

Clean and wash rice.Soak rice for 30 mns at least...Chop carrots,spinach and chillies. Half boil the  carrots and drain them..

Heat pan/kadai with oil+ghee..add in all spices.Saute well and add in chopped onions n chillies...

Fry them well.Next continue with chopped spinach and carrots and mix well...

To this add salt,chilli powder,garam masala,GGP...Cook this for 2-3 minutes in low flame...

Now add in drained rice and enough water and cook til rice done.....

Once rice is done keep flame in low for few minutes.Then off flame..

Serve hot rice with any raita or gravy...


MAHAS NOTES

Adjust chillies acc to taste and skip chilli powder..

Can skip boiling carrots and add directly..

Spinach+carrots is the best combination.

Use basmati rice if you like..Use coconut milk for rich taste...
