VERMICELLI DAHI BATH/SEMIYA CURD MIX


This is  a very old post lied down in Draft from a long time...I took some step wise  pics also.but it was  in the night time and I did n`t liked the pics.So,here iam not posting those..I thought to click again  this recipe pics.But  did n`t get a chance again til now to prepare this DAHI BATH..Sounds strange ha..But It`s true...

This recipe is a twist to regular upma..Who loves semiya n  who feels bore to upma can go with this for a change...Using thick curd is must in the recipe.And It`s really healthy too....

WHAT YOU NEED

Vermicelli/semiya- 1cup
thick yogurt/curd-2 cups
salt- taste
grated carrot-1/2 cup

TO TEMPER/POPU/TALIMPU

Oil-2 tsps
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
cumin- 1/2tsp 
urad dal- 1 tsp
chana dal-1 /2tsp
hing-3-4 pinches
red chilli-2
green chilli-3

HOW TO COOK

Dry roast vermicelli in a pan.Boil water in a bowl then add vermicelli to water..Once the vermicelli turns soft drain it n keep aside..

After semiya cools take it in a bowl and add grated carrot,curd and salt to it and mix well..

Prepare temper with Ings which mentioned under TO TEMPER..

Once the TALIMPU is ready mix it in the vermicelli curd..Stir it well to combine..

After 15-20 mns serve with any pickle..
