PAN ROASTED PRAWNS/KADAI PRAWNS/SHRIMP FRY/ROYYALA VEPUDU/PRAWNS FRY


DH loves Prawns..Specially with less spice and grilled.But til now I did n`t get a chance to grill some prawns for MI AMOR..But,Iam trying to cook best to satisfy him always..We buys always frozen prawns boxes...In the starting days DH brought fresh prawns.But I was scared and cried to clean them.Ya....I just hate to touch the prawns and fish before.While removing the shell of prawns I cried and DH stared at me..HEHEHE.from that day he started buying frozen prawns which are available without shells.But,Its true..Don`t know why I felt so irritate to touch or to cook in previous days.Now after 4 years Iam feeling good to  touch,cook and also to eat..more than prawns n  fish  I like chicken.Because of the vigor smell of those unable to eat them.But,I love to cook and love to try new varities..TYPICAL GIRL....;)


I  also tried deep fried sesame prawns which I have in the draft.Soon will post that..Coming to this,according to my taste buds I tried this one.True spice lovers and prawns lovers will definitely loves this version.NON-VEG tastes best if cooked with lots of spices.I used heavy thick bottomed pan to cook this and remember cook always in medium flame.Try this next time when you get a chance and don`t forget to comment..PLEASE..

WHAT YOU NEED

Devein prawns(medium sized)-20
Onion-1 big
capsicum/green bell pepper-1 med size
tomato-1 big
red chilli powder-1 tsp
salt- to taste
garam masala-1 tsp
turmeric-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
yogurt/curd-2 tsps
cream-1/2 cup
oil- 2tsps
black cumin-1 tsp
dry red chilli-1 big
cardamoms opened-3
cloves-4
cinnamon stick-2"inches
 curry leaves-1 sprig


HOW TO COOK

Heat heavy thick bottomed pan  with oil and add spices black cumin,dry red chilli,cardamoms opened,cloves
cinnamon stick,curry leaves and fry well...

Add chopped onions with little bit of salt and cook for 1 minute..Then add chopped capsicum and cook for 1 more minute.

Throw in chopped tomato now and mix well...Now add salt,red chilli powder,GGP,corinader+cumin powders and mix..Cook this for 2 minutes..

Add yogurt at this time and also prawns..Mix carefully...Cook this for 10 minutes in med flame..If need add little bit of water and cook by closing with lid.

By,this time prawns turns soft..remove lid and add cream now.....Cook for 5 more  minutes in low flame without lid....

When prawns turns completely soft and dry  add garam masala and remove flame.Before going to serve squeeze lemon juice..

Serve hot like an appetizer or serve with rotis...
