HAPPY VINAYAKA CHAVITHI TO ALL
This is the one of the Important Recipe which Amma makes on Ganesh chathurti Festival..She use wheat flour to make this sweet balls which we called Undrallu in telugu..Here I used rice flour to make these.I know every one of you busy in festival celebration..So,Directly to the Recipe... Enjoy ever one!!
WHAT YOU NEED
Rice flour- 1 cup
water-2 cups
sugar-1 cup
ghee-3 tsps
cashews+raisins-few
cardamom powder-1 tsp
milk-2 cups(can use 1 more cup)
Fresh coconut powder-4-5 tsps(opt)
HOW TO MAKE
Fry cashews and raisins in ghee and keep aside..
Boil water in a wide pan and add 1 tsp of ghee..When the water boiling in high peaks, keep flame in low and add rice flour..Stir immediately and off flame after 2 minutes..
Let it cool..Then apply lit bit ghee to palms and start shaping the flour into small, round shaped balls.
Now heat another pan with 2 cups milk and add sugar..When milk starts boiling in high add rice flour balls and cook for 5 minutes in low flame...
If the consistency is too thick you can add some more milk at this time. Now add coconut+cardamom powders and mix well.
Add fried cashews, raisins and ghee and off flame..
MAHAS NOTES
Each rice flour is different in quality.Use always fresh and home made is best..
Adding flour in boiled water is easy to cook the balls in syrup and saves time..
Amma adds these balls directly into the syrup. But it`s need much more time.
You can use jaggery/bellam/Gud in the place of sugar..
If the consistency is too thick add extra milk.I added..
ONCE AGAIN I WISH EACH AND EVERY ONE HAPPY GANESH CHATURTHI
