BROWN KIDNEY BEANS PULAV/RAJMA PULAO/KIDNEY BEANS PULAV WITH CILANTRO MINT PASTE/ARROZ FEIJÃO VERMELHO/SOUTH EASY LUNCH BOX IDEAS/SOUTH INDIAN RICE VARITIES


This is a healthy rice recipe of green leaf mix with RED KIDNEY BEANS......

SERVES-3-4 ADULTS

INGREDIENTS

Basmati rice-2cups
kidney beans-2cups
onion (big) slices thinly -1
oil-1 tbsp
shahejeera/black cumin-1 tsp
cashews-few chopped

TO GRIND
green chill-5 or 6
cilantro leaves-1/2cup
mint leaves-1/2cup
cardamom pods -3
salt-to taste
cloves- 3-4
cinnamon-1 inch stick
ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
star anise-small piece
cream-1 tbsp



HOW TO MAKE

Pressure cook kidney beans and drain after releasing air........Wash rice and soak for  30 minutes..

Make a fine paste by grinding the INGS which mentioned under the list...

Heat vessel with oil and add black cumin when its hot.......Fry sliced onion + cashews til dark and Continue with ground paste.......

Cook this for 5 minutes in medium flame by stirring and add drained beans......Mix well.........

Add enough water+ salt and let it starts boiling.........

Once water started boiling add in cream and rice.. Keep lid and cook til rice done perfectly............

That` it ..Once rice complete check out and serve hot with raita and any gravy of your choice.....
