PEAS GRAVY/PEAS KURMA/COCONUT PEAS GRAVY/PEAS COOKED IN COCONUT KHUS KHUS PASTE/INDIAN VEG GRAVIES FOR RICE N ROTIS/MOLHO PICANTE AS ERVILHAS


Kormas are always best combination for rotis and pulkas...This time Iam sharing green peas korma recipe which is cooked in less than 15 minutes...when you are hurry or if there was no vegetables you can try this recipe which is very easy and tasty too.

The ingredients which I used to make korma are important in the recipe and it gives a nice taste to the dish.Totally a perfect dish to serve hot with rotis.

WHAT YOU NEED

Fresh green Peas-1 cup
red chili powder-1 tsp
salt- to taste
garam masala- 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder-1 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
onion- 1 big
tomato-1 big
black cumin-1 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
oil- 2 tsps

TO GRIND
coconut-2-3 tbsp
khuskhus/gasagasalu/poppy seeds-2 tsp
cardamom pods-3
fennel seeds-1 tbsp
cloves-3

water-3  tbsps


HOW TO MAKE

Dry roast all INGS which given under TO GRIND.After few minutes grind into smooth paste using water..

Chop onion n tomato..Wash peas twice.Pressure cook  and drain in colander.. or you can use frozen peas.directly use in gravy.

Now heat pan with oil..Add black cumin n saute for few seconds..

Add onions and fry well..Next add in tomato and mix..Cook for 1 minute this in low flame..

Throw in peas and stir once..Add in chilli powder.salt,turmeric,GGP and mix well...

Cook for 2-3 minutes and mix the ground coconut paste...

Add 1/2-3/4 cup of water then cook for 5-8 minutes in very low flame by closing with lid...

Now add garam masala and coriander powder mix once..Turn off flame and add cilantro leaves..

Serve hot with Chapathis/Rotis..
