CREAM CHEESE CHOCOLATE OLIVE OIL COOKIES/BUTTER FREE POLENGHI CREAM CHEESE COOKIES/CREAM CHEESE RECIPES/QUICK AND EASY CHRISTMAS COOKIES RECIPES/NO BUTTER COOKIES/MAHAS OWN RECIPES/STEP BY STEP PICTURES


I use  CREAM CHEESE rarely in kitchen and a box was lied down from a month in fridge...To use it up I searched in google for recipes and some where eyes stopped on a word Cream  cheese cookies.It was weird feeling by me,like about taste and making method..
But with little info again jumped in you tube and searched over there for recipes and found lots of recipes with so many variations..Like few recipes are with egg and some other are with butter also wheat flour recipes..But, I was not ready to experiment with cream cheese with innovative combinations..So According to my Idea,I used APF that is plain flour and instead of butter went through with olive oil..Freezing part and rolling dough in to balls may takes times other wise it`s just a simple yet delicious recipe to try out.Check here for  POLENGHI CREAM CHEESE AND RECIPES

CATEGORY-BAKING/CREAM CHEESE/COOKIES
PREPARATION TIME- 20+30(FREEZING TIME)  MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 35-40 MINUTES



WHAT YOU NEED

Polenghi cream cheese-70 grams

all purpose flour/maida-3 cups
vanilla essence-2 tsp
olive oil-1/2 cup
white sugar-1 cup
egg-1
baking powder-1 tsp
baking soda-1/2 tsp
salt-2 pinches
chopped chocolate-1 cup
 

HOW TO BAKE

Line a parchment paper in a baking tray..

Mix wet ingredients one by one in a bowl..and start mixing dry ingredients..

Knead like dough  n take lemon size ball. Shape it well ..Do this with whole dough and arrange in tray..

** In the below pic it looks like crumble.but it  was moist and instead of kneading directly I ROLLED INTO BALLS.

Keep this tray in fridge for 30 minutes at least and then remove out...

Preheat oven at 180 degree C.Place tray in oven after 10 minutes and bake for 30-35 minutes..

When cookies turns hard and crispy turn off and flip on wire rack..

Serve with milk..

MAHAS NOTES

Freezing cookie balls is an Important step.Or you can freeze the whole dough and  divide it into balls later.

Because of oil parchment paper may  turns oily.Don`t worry..

After 15 minutes of baking remove tray and flip cookies then bake for remaining 15 minutes.

After 30 minutes check out once and If cookies looks soft bake for 5-8 minutes more and don`t remove tray after turning off.

You can add chocolate chips too..I added swiss chocolate..Can reduce sugar up to 3/4 cup.

Also can throw some nuts like raisins and almonds.If you add raisins adjust the sugar quantity.
