NO BAKING BISCUIT PEANUT BAR


No baking recipes are simply fun to make and I votes those recipes always....This was Recipe That I Tried Out Few Days Back With Few Ingredients...I`s Really Easy to Make..At the same time These so buttery in taste...After tasted the Bar I understood that the butter content dominated the bar....Here I gave the Exact Measurements of INGS. So, What I Want To Say Is Before Going to try use less butter and check out the result and let me know PLZ... ..


PREPARATION TIME-30minutes
YIELDS-12 PCS(Approx)


Ingredients

digestive biscuits-12
cocoa powder-1/1 1/2TSP
peanuts-2-3TSPS
vanilla-1/2TSP
butter-1/2CUP
tutti frutti-1/2cup
condensed milk-1/2tin


METHOD

Crush the biscuits into powder.....Run the Mixy once to crush the peanuts.(Don`t make it like fine powder.It should be coarse.)

Melt butter in a vessel and add in condensed milk,cocoa and vanilla after it cools down.......

Now add remained ings like biscuit powder and tutti fruttis...

Grease a parchment paper with butter and change this prepared bar mixture on top..Give a good shape and refrigerate for 1 hour at least..

Cut into square shapes and serve.....


MY NOTES

I used nestle biscuits...

I think It`s better to add melted chocolate instead of cocoa..Try any one if you like and let me know...

Add in chopped in cashews/almonds if you like..

HYDERABAD FAMOUS CHICKEN PULAV/RICE COOKED WITH CHICKEN


This is the first attempt of CHICKEN PULAV and its an absolute hit........I can`t believe it because ,every day almost at least 1 mistake i do in cooking ..But in the making of this CHICKEN PULAV did n`t done even a single small mistake......Its double super hit...Actually from last month Iam avoiding rice to down my weight.But after the success in making PULAV i skipped my promise for one day and had  the yummiest pulav happily........


CATEGORY-NON VEGETARIAN/CHICKEN

PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTES
MARINATION TIME-2-3HRS
COOKING TIME-30 MINUTES
SERVES-3ADULTS

INGREDIENTS

Chicken leg pieces-10
basmati rice-2cups
onion sliced-1big
tomato chopped-1med size
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
lemon juice-2 tsps
cilantro leaves-1/2cup
mint leaves-1/2cup
cumin powder-1/2tsp
coriander powder-1/2tsp
turmeric-1/2tsp
salt-1/2tsp

SPICES YOU NEED IN TEMPER
Oil-2tsps
cardamoms-3 opened
cloves-3-4
cinnamon-1inch stick
shahejeera/black cumin -1tsp
curry leaveas-1sprig
star anise-1/2 flower
bay leaves-2-3

TO MARINATE THE CHICKEN
chilli powder-2tsps
salt-1/2tsp
garam masala-1tsp
ginger garlic paste-1tsp
lemon juice-1tsp
turmeric-1/2tsp



HOW TO MAKE

Wash well the chicken and put some slits on top....Marinate with mentioned ings under the list.......Keep this aside for at least 2 hrs.....

Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes before you going the procedure....

Now Heat a thick bottomed kadai/pan/vessel .....Add in oil and fry the ings all one by one which i wrote under the list.....

Add in chopped onions fry til light brown colour. Continue with diced tomatoes...Cook til mushy....Add mint/cilantro leaves...Cook for 3 more minutes.....

Now add marinated chicken and mix well.....Keep lid and cook this for 15 minutes in high flame......

Add in enough water and let it boil.....This time add rice and check the water cook this til rice done......

That`s it......Your CHICKEN PULAV is ready...........Serve with chilled raita and salad.....AHA....YUM....YUM.....



MY NOTES

I use always frozen chicken leg pieces/wings in my cooking.You can replace it with Chopped bone chicken...For  this recipe can use approx-350 gms of chicken........

Marination part is optional...If you don`t have time can cook directly by adding spices to chicken and continue with rice.......

Adding coconut milk also gives a nice flavour.So,minus the water level and plus the coconut milk.....It`s your choice.....

After having the pulav/biriyanis drink a glass of buttermilk.It Helps in digestion.......

It` hot here.....Temperature is 30-35C and lots of humidity...Regularly I makes a jug of orange juice in the evening time..Last week bought few mangoes so tried this sharbat recipe.
To this sharbat uses Ripe mango but i tried with ripen fruit and came out good too..

CAKE TRIFLE


Happy  saturday guys......Wish every one to enjoy the blast ful sunday,........

Coming to the Recipe I tried this cake trifle recently ..According to my taste i made some changes.Trifles are really easy to make if you have all ingredients ready.......This is my first attempt in trifles......I really enjoyed while layering the trifle.It`s like fun......


PREPARATION TIME-30 MINUTES
SERVES-2

Ingredients

vanilla cake chopped/cubes-2cups
fruit juice-1/4cup(i used orange)
mixed chopped fruits-few
whipping cream-few spoons
sugar-2tsps
jam-few spoons(I used diet peach jam)
nutella-to spread on top
wafers-2(opt)


HOW TO MAKE

Whip the cream..well and add sugar...

First place the chopped cake in glass or bowl what ever your using.....

On top pour a tsp of juice....Now add some whipped cream....

layer with fruits and pour a tsp of juice again on top......

fill the glass with remaining cake cubes and continue with juice and cream.....

Finally add some jam and add 2tsps of nutella....Tip with a wafer.......

Put this in fridge for 1hour and serve chilled.........



NOTES

Instead of cream add in custard.

actually i added jam in place of jelly..If you like jelly can replace with jam..

Nutella is optional.

Replace juice with sugar syrup.......

Cube the cake into very small....gives good result.......

GULAB JAMUNS PUDDING/JAMUNS PUDDING IN CHOCOLATE CAKE N ICE CREAM

Gulabjamuns the itself tempts every one right??....I know most of all knows how to prepare jamuns....But,what about This recipe?do you guys heard this name?This is a simple and easy recipe which i tried on my own idea......I have some jamuns in my fridge from last 3days and  we both are not interested to pickup....So,I thought to use in different version.So,The result was this...Actually My cake broke up and i thought to upload only the pics of the recipe.But,some how i posted step by step pics.It may easy to understand to you all.. ...

PREPARATION TIME-20 MINUTES
SERVES-3-4

Ingredients

Gulab jamuns-8
chocolate ice cream-1 1/2 cup
chocolate cake-rectangular shaped sliced in two
almonds chopped-5
sugar syrup-1/4cup


PREPARATION

Slice jamuns into 4-5 pieces....Slice the cake into two....

In a glass bowl add in ice cream first on top layer with the sliced cake piece...pour 2-3 tsps syrup on top of the cake.

Now arrange sliced jamuns on top of the cake nicely...

Again cover this with second cake slice and syrup(if you like)and add some more jamuns if you have..(It`s optional)

Refrigerate this til ice cream turns hard.....

Before going to serve add almonds on top and serve chilled.....It`s unique taste of mixed sweets..


MY NOTES

Adding sugar syrup is not very important.But if u have d syrup of jamuns may use like this..

Use vanilla cake and ice cream instead of chocolate....

Add in almonds before going to refrigerate if you like....

But  along of tomatoes i used cabbage main...The shelf of cabbage is 2 weeks aprox..So, I always buy 3 cabbages and tries different recipes every time..This is one of the recipe which i makes often for my  kids using less spices......So,here it goes......

HYDERABADI RESTAURANT STYLE CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI / Easy Restaurant style chicken dum biryani with step wise pictures/NEW YEAR GIFT CHOCOLATES


Hi.....friends... A warm welcome to the first monday of new year...How you all guys enjoyed yesterday??Iam with dhips in home.And mahadev gone AQUAMANIA with his dad at 12pm n back at 7pm..It`s long time request of mahadev n finally he enjoyed lot. We couple was so happy..
O.K......Now to recipe....

Finally here Iam with the famous hyderabad chicken dum biryani recipe.......This is the second attempt of mine.....And It was a hit too.This is a special recipe for me because I restarted eating NON-VEG with this biryani....  ..

Hyderabad is the one of the most famous city in INDIA.It is popular for so many historical places like charminar,golconda fort,salarjung museum,birla temple etc....And we can find so many  restaurants and hotels like BAWARCHI,PARADISE,LITTLE ITALY,RAYALASEEMA RUCHULU and HAVMOR etc. .But my bad luck i never tasted food in any restaurants..Biryani means which is loaded with full of spices,powders.....They are so many varities of making biryanis.like VEG,MUTTON,CHICKEN and many more....But chicken biryani is different with other biryanis n its special too...I searched in youtube for exact recipe and followed as it is. AMMA is an excellent expert in making CHICKEN BIRYANI......She used the chicken leg pieces as the main instead of chopped bone pieces... ..So, I just followed her..The ingredients are too many and I framed the pics in one.So,I Hope you guys will like this...If you are non-veg lovers n loves biryanis then definitely have to try this. ....

PREPARATION TIME-30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-45MINUTES
SERVES-2-3

Ingredients

MAIN INGS

Basmati rice-2cups
chicken leg pieces-10-12
onions-2 small
tomato-1big(opt)
green chilli-3
curry leaves-1sprig(opt)
red chilli powder-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2tsp
red food colour-2pinches
milk-1/4cup
curd-1/2cup
lemon juice-1tsp
cumin powder-1/2tsp
coriander powder-1/2tsp
biryani masala powder-1tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 1/2tsp
mint leaves-2cups
coriander leaves-2cups
oil-2tsps+2tsps

DEEP FRIED ONIONS-1CUP(Chopped length wise)

TO MAKE A COARSE SPICE POWDER

cloves-5
cardamom-3
black cardamom-1
cinnamon-1inch
black cumin/shahejeera-1tsp
black pepper-3

TO COOK RICE
Oil-1tsp
black pepper-4
cloves-2-3
cardamoms-2

TO SERVE

round slices of onion-1
lemon wedge-1


METHOD

Make a coarse powder (run the mixy to left only once)with ings which mentioned under the list..keep aside this..

Wash the chicken thrice and put slits on top with sharp knife....Chop onions and tomatoes...crush the green chilli like a coarse paste..

Heat a thick bottomed vessel with oil....Add in cumin and saute for half second...

Next continue with chopped onions,tomatoes,chilli paste and cook til they turns soft and lightly mushy..

Add in chicken and mix well....After 3 minutes add all spice powders like-chilli+coriander+cumin+biryani masala and turmeric powders..Add in ginger garlic paste too...mix well to coat the powders to chicken....

Add in crushed spice  powder and mix..Cook this for 5 minutes by  covering a lid....

Continue with adding mint,coriander leaves,lemon juice,yogurt.Mix well every thing and cook in low flame til chicken soft.It may take 20 minutes..

Now check out the chicken.It should be in dry form..If any water is there cook for 5 more without lid..If it is done off the flame and wait until it cools..and  it`s time to keep it in the fridge.....

If you don`t have time to rest it continue with cooking rice....But the resting time gives a best taste...

I followed the above step. I cooked the chicken last night and I made this biryani in  the next day morning....

Heat a cup of oil and deep fry the chopped length wise onions.Drain them on a kitchen paper towel..Add the food colour in warm milk mix once and keep aside.......

Next wash rice twice and keep aside for 30 minutes.....Cook rice by adding the ings which mentioned under....When the rice was cooked 70% drain water and keep aside...

Now heat a vessel or pressure cooker  with oil and add cooked chicken spread it to cover the vessel and add some rice and spread well on top of the chicken...

Now spread the fried onions,mint n coriander leaves and again cover with rice..

Continue with onions,mint n coriander leaves..Finally add the food colour milk and keep a lid....

Heat a tawa or dosa pan and when it is hot put the biryani vessel on top and keep it in low flame..

Cover the lid whole with a small dough ball(i forgotten) and cook this for 15 minutes.

Off the flame when you observe the steam....open the lid after 10 minutes......

Give a good  mix and Serve hot with onion raita........

MY NOTES 

I skipped green chillies,coriander leaves which are absent in my kitchen :-(

I skipped tomatoes too.Bcz,I don`t like tomatoes in biryani personally...;-]

I didn`t cooked the rice  along with spices.Instead I just cooked out normally.....(For my kids)

I used food colour.If possible its good to use saffron......

Which i mentioned ings to make a coarse powder you can add those directly in oil along with cumin and fry for a minute.....

cooking the chicken and resting time in not very important.You can cook biryani directly.....

Marinate the chicken with given ingredients and rest it for at least 2hrs and start making biryani.Even this method also gives a good result.....

Use 1 1/2 tsps garam masla instead biryani masala..this too works out........

You can replace the oil  with ghee...

Finally serve hot with cool raita......Enjoy the delicious chicken biryani... ......

Who hates or rejects to have this beautiful chilled Milk shake.I know....Most of the heads are moving left to right......Isn`t it???..HEHEHE... I have some bananas in fridge.Actually I planned to bake a bread loaf but some how I postponed it...And the bananas are very ripe.So,decided to try a new milk shake......

OATS COCONUT HONEY COOKIES/EGG LESS/BUTTER LESS


Baking is like fun.But baking cookies,cakes for health conscious persons is little bit tough part.DH  never prefers to eat sugar loaded stuffs...but I always pushes him to taste the food which I experimented....So,he adviced(no...requested hehehe) me to use healthy products.even I thought for while that rather than the taste health is  very important na.So,I decided to use less stuffs which are harmful for us...Last few days back Iam in mood to bake some cookies without (with less flour)flour,sugar and the most important butter.These three are the very unhealthy ings which are high in calories,no protiens and makes us fat too.I usually prefers to bake cookies only for my H.The first thing I do picking the ings n measuring...I used oats,olive oil and honey as the main ingredients.....These three are  the basical needs to make some crunchy healthy cookies ....

This is my second attempt of baking these cookies.The first time result was absolutely awesome.But I didn`t  measured the ingredients exactly on that day.But very hard i remembered and posting here .And even  not in mood to take cliks also on that day.I missed;-(... .This time i measured everything perfectly to post the recipe here.....Here Iam giving the 2 versions of cookies which I tried out....So,as per your choice can follow anyone..Ingredients 1 is actual present recipe.Ingredients -2 was the previous recipe....



PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTES
BAKING TIME-25-30 MINUTES
RESULT-20 COOKIES (Approx/depend on size)

maida/APF-1/2cup                                                             maida/APF-1/4cup                                                                        
honey-3/4cup                                                                    honey-1/2cup
desicated coconut powder-1cup                                          desicated coconut powder-1cup
olive oil-1/4cup                                                                  olive oil-1/4cup(less2-3 tsps)
milk-1/4cup                                                                       milk-1/4cup(less 3tsps)
vanilla essence-1tsp                                                            vanilla essence-1/2tsp
baking powder-1/2tsp                                                          baking powder-1/2tsp
baking soda-1tsp                                                                 baking soda-1tsp

METHOD

Pre heat oven to 180c.Line a parchment paper in  a baking pan...spread tsp of butter on top of the paper..

Mix flour,oats,coconut powder,soda and baking powder in  a bowl...

Add in oil,vanilla and mix once.Now carefully add the milk...Don`t pour the the whole milk at a time.use a spoon and if its forms like a dough  just stop adding more........

Mix every thing to form like a dough(It may not like dough.but should be hard little bit n stiff) and take 2tsps and roll like ball.change this on baking pan just press on top of the dough.

Do the same process with remaining......Bake for 30 minutes...

If done check out and off.......serve later with a cup of milk.



My notes 

Baking time is different n depends on oven.so,check out and don`t forget.

Add milk slowly and knead the dough in between.If it is good then stop adding...

If you add more milk cookies may not crunchy and will be too soft.

Shelf life is 20-25 days in room temp.....Ings-2 list is best in my opinion.....I felt really proud and satisfied with my own measurings n experiment.. ...

Don`t add less oil.you don`t get the perfect shape.will break the cookies after baked out too.....

MILK POWDER GULAB JAMUNS USING PANEER


Finally the new year is in front of us... ....and the 1st day also we completed....Minewas happy...Had a chicken biryani in lunch.In evening  enjoyed with  a chocolate cake  and the dinner was prawns fry.On my request DH was in home.So,After a very long time we talked with each other.....The day with full joy n fun..

What are your new decisions n preparations in this year guys...???.Coming to  my part I have some plans which i just think over only today....Like ..... decided to post at least 3 recipes per a week.And will learn the basics of photography.....Hmmm..will try new non-veg dishes.....Personally,We decided to send Mahadev  to school,So,will be busy in his studies....And Going to learn portuguese,driving..
n the final one n the very important one will try to loose my weight.....hehehe..Except all Iam not sure about last one.....I know.But Will try sincerely ....So,I Shared mine thoughts..WHAT ABOUT YOURS FRIENDS?...Let me know.....


Coming to the recipe It`s a milk powder gulab jamuns......A sweet welcome to the new year....I know I ca`t share this jamuns with you all.But Iam giving this treat for every one from my heart.So,If you close your eyes once can feel it.. ....I tried almost best to take pictures with clarity.but the lightness was so dull....And these are i clicked at night 11pm..

Who are the lovers of jamuns and who don`t likes to use store bought products can make these easy  jamuns.....The ings are very simple and the recipe takes less time too to make...I added some paneer for a change.And the taste was very rich too.. ...Hope you guys will enjoy this treat,recipe n post..every thing.Here goes it is............

PREPARATION TIME-30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-3OMINUTES(WITHOUT SOAKING TIME)
SERVES-3-4

Ingredients
All purpose flour/maida-1/2cup
milk powder-1cup
paneer-1/4cup
sugar-2cups
water-1-1/2cup
cardamom powder1/2tsp
milk-1/8cup(as needed to make dough)
butter-2tsps
salt-2 pinches
baking powder &soda-1/4tsp+1/4tsp
sliver foils-to decorate if you like





EASY TO DO WITH PICS
METHOD

In a mixing bowl add milk powder,maida(flour)salt,baking powder & soda..mix well.

Add in fresh scrumbled paneer and rub the mixture every thing til combines well...

Now add in melted butter and with milk make into a soft dough.keep in rest this for at least 15 minutes.

Now take sugar and in other bowl and add water,cardamom powder..boil this til the syrup formed.
It should be one string consistency.keep this aside.It should be warm not hot.....

Knead  the dough again once and make well round shaped balls without giving any cracks. Take gooseberry size dough ball and keep it in between your two palms and press first then start rolling slowly..will get round shapes....

Heat oil in a kadai for deep fry..Keep the flame in medium always..add in balls ant start frying...Be careful while frying.

After completed drain the balls..and soon add in prepared syrup..

Soak for at least 2 hrs or overnight.....Serve warm or chilled........



My Notes 

Knead the dough with fingers very well before adding milk.after adding milk it should be very hard or too soft too.So,be careful while adding milk.(with my experience iam sharing this )

Deep frying is the most important in making jamuns.Keep flame always in medium..If the oil is too hot,off the flame for a minute then add dough balls again on flame after a half minute..(I done this mistake 2times)

Sugar syrup is not to be very thin....And it should be warm also..

Finally  the most important tip is soak for some time.. 
..
