DATES BANANA BREAD LOAF/ DATESBANANA CAKE LOAF/ DATES RECIPES


Mostly I search for Eggless and no butter baking recipes.So,one fine day while searching in net I hooked with this Recipe..This is one of the healthy bread which you can bake often.Dates and bananas are the main ings of this Bread.The original recipe included apple also.But I skipped it..Still I got a beautiful n yummy bread..I also added little bit of oil,but original recipe don`t.. n skipped nutmeg..Check the link for exact recipe.

WHAT YOU NEED

Dates-10 chopped finely
banana-2
yogurt/curd-1/2 cup
egg-1
sugar-1/2 cup
baking soda-1 tsp
baking powder-2 tsps
cinnamon powder- 2 tsps
salt- 1/2 tsp
oil- 1/8 cup
wheat flour-1 1/4 cup


HOW TO MAKE

preheat oven at 200*C.Grease cake tin or bread loaf pan..

Break egg in a bowl and add in sugar,yogurt,oil..Mix well..

Add baking soda,baking powder,salt,cinnamon powder to wheat flour..

Grind banans into puree.Now,mix dry n wet ings. finally add in chopped dates n banana puree..

Tip this into tin and bake for 40 mins.Check by inserting a  tooth pick..

Cool for few mins n serve..

COCONUT RICE/KOBBARI ANNAM/ARROZ DE COCO


I use coconut in  sweets and chutneys..This time I tried Rice version...This is one of the easy rice recipe which you can make in minutes....

PREPARATION TIME-20 MINS
COOKING TIME-20 MINS


WHAT YOU NEED

Fresh ground coconut-1 cup
cooked white rice-2 cups
salt- to taste
chilli powder-1/2 tsp

TO TEMPER/TALIMPU
Oil-2 tsps
black mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin-1/2tsp
urad dal/mina pappu-1/2 tsp
chana dal- 1 tsp
hing/inguva podi-2-3 pinches
curry leaves-1 sprig
turmeric-1 /2 tsp
cashews -4-5 chopped
red chilli-3


HOW TO COOK

Peel the brown part of coconut and cut into pieces then grind into fine powder..

Heat woke with oil then add in hing,mustard,cumin,dals and saute for few seconds..

Continue with cashews,curry leaves and red chillies and saute well..Soon mix in coconut powder and stir once..Keep the flame in LOW..

To this add salt and chilli powder n  mix well and cook for only 1-2 minutes then off flame..

Mix this in rice completely and serve hot with any raita..

OATS FLAX SEEDS ROTI/HEALTHY BREAK FAST IDEAS/EASY DINNER IDEAS


GOOD AFTERNOON EVERY ONE!!

I Experiments in making different rotis also...This is in one of them....I added some oats and flax seeds to make it more healthy....This rotis came out little bit hard.Because I added more oats powder n less wheat flour..But Here I  wrote right quantities to make it easy for you all.Just try once instead of your  regular chapatis...Hope you will like this too...

Flax seeds called as AVISE ginjalau in Telugu..Here you can get some more info about Flax seeds.

PREPARATION TIME-10 MNS

WHAT YOU NEED

Wheat flour-1 1/2 cup
oats -1/2cup
flax seeds-2 tsps
oil-2 tsps
salt-1/4 tsp

OIL-For frying rotis


HOW TO MAKE

grind oats into fine powder..Mix it with wheat flour..to this flours add flax seeds...

Add in salt and oil..Use water to make it soft dough..Keep in rest for 20 mns..

Start rolling rotis..Once done Heat pan and fry rotis one by one with 1 tsp of oil for each ..

Serve hot with any gravy or curd+mango pickle.

POHA CARROT DADDODYANAM/ATUKULU DADDODYANAM/RICE FLAKES CURD MIX


I brought POHA(Atukulu)from India n It`s long time I did n`t used it.While thinking of using poha I get some recipes in mind.In that I tried this first...Sure will post some more recipes of poha which are very different n special...This is like regular rice curd mix...For a change I added some grated carrot for a health touch...So,Just look at once n try If you like...

WHAT YOU NEED

RICE FLAKES/POHA/ATUKULU-2 CUPS
GREEN CHILLI-3
CARROT GRATED-3/4 CUP
YOGURT/CURD-2-3 CUPS
SALT-TO TASTE

TO TEMPER

OIL-2 TSPS
MUSTARD SEEDS-1/2 TSP
CUMIN-1/TSP
BLACK PEPPER CORNS-5
RED CHILLI -2
URAD DAL/MINA PAPPU-1/2 TSP
CHANA DAL-1/2 TSP
HING/INGUVA PODI-3-4 PINCHES
TUMERIC POWDER/PASUPU-1/2 TSP
CURRY LEAVES-1 SPRIG
GINGER GARLIC PASTE-1 TSP


HOW TO COOK

Add  grated carrot  and salt  in curd and  mix well...Now add cleaned poha and mix once again..keep this side.

heat woke with oil..when its hot add Ings one by one which given under to temper..

Now add slit green chilli and saute for 1/2 more  minute. then mix this into curd...Give good stir..

Serve hot with any pickle.


MAHAS NOTES

I used thin poha..I cleaned(not with water) it first then mixed directly into curd..

If you are using thick poha clean it with water then mix in curd...

Depending on your choice can add dry fruits n can skip carrot...

I grated carrot very finely...

Washing poha with water becomes mushy n it does n`t  tastes too good(It`s my personal feeling)

If you are using thick poha,you may need more curd..

Refrigerate for some time n can serve cool too.....

CUCUMBER MINT JUICE/KHEERA PUDINA JUICE/HEALTHY SUMMER DRINKS/DIET JUICES

 Being a health conscious person I go with juices mostly..If you are regular visitor to Mahaslovelyhome then you can notice that this space have so many recipes of juices,smoothies n shakes....So, in the same way  Iam introducing today one more healthy diet juice of cucumber with mint combination...People who wants to loose weight can go with this.....I know..It`s  horrible to take this juice in the starting..but once if you started sure will like it...Try it for good health..

 Cucumber/kheera dosa(chopped)-2 cups
honey- 2tsps
mint leaves-20
salt -2 pinches
sugar-1 tsp
pepper powder-1/2 tsp
lemon juice-1 tsp
ginger chopped-1tsp


HOW TO MAKE

Except honey n lemon juice mix all ings along with chilled 1 glass water and blend in mixer..

Before going serve add in honey and leomn juice and serve chill.

BEET ROOT JUICE/HEALTHYBREAK FAST JUICES/SUMMER DRINKS


Iam late in posting today..Sorry....It`s winter here and The cool weather making me to sit silently..Personally I don`t like winter n always it keeps my mind very lazy....Including that some Idiotic issues are itching heart continuously..Anyhow Iam trying to come out from those...


Coming to this Recipe It`s not a great recipe actually.But a healthy one...DH loves  to take veg juices in break fast  time...On his request Iam preparing these kind of healthy juices daily...I love the beet root colour..It gives more energy n bright look on my face..lol..hehehehe..Here I prepared this juice with milk and sugar..But DH refuses milk in juices.So,I adds only water..To post the recipe in BLOG I tried with milk here.So,you have two choices.one is with milk n other is without milk...Who are in DIET or who wants o loose weight those people can go without milk.....Now,check it..PLZ..

lemon juice-2 tsps
sugar-2 tsps
milk- 1glass


HOW TO MAKE

First grind chopped beet root then add other ings and run mixy jar  once again..Once done serve immediately..


MAHAS NOTES

The other variation is,instead of milk and sugar  add 1 glass of water with 2 tsps of honey....

CARROT ROASTED CHANA DAL KHEER/CARROT PUTNALA PAPPU PAYASAM/Mahas OWN RECIPES


This is my own Idea of making Kheer..I love to try varities in Sweets mostly..So,this is one of the hit in my list...This is really tasted good.Try once..

PREPARATION TIME-15 MNS
COOKING TIME-20-25 MNS


WHAT YOU NEED

Carrot grated-1 cup
roasted chana dal powder/putnala pappu podi-1/2 cup
milk-2-3 cups
jaggery/bellam pdr -1 cup
cardamom powder-1 tsp
ghee-2-3 tsps
cashews-5
raisins-5


HOW TO MAKE

Heat a thick bottomed pan with ghee and fry cashew n raisins n keep aside..

In the same pan fry carrot grated  for 3-4 mns... and add 1 cup of milk..

Cook this for 3-4 mns again n add dal powder n 1 more cup of milk...

Stir quickly to avoid  forming lumps...Keep the fame in low also..

Add powdered  jaggery now and mix well..

Add remaining cup of milk and cook for 5-10 mns....

When the kheer starts thickening off flame and add cashew n raisins..

Serve Kheer warm...



MAHAS NOTES

Measurements are exactly how I used..

Try with sugar if you like...

Use 1 more cup of milk if you like.
