Coming to the recipe, My absent mind forgotten turn offing flame while rajma is in pressure cooker and i was totally upset..with over cooked rajma I prepared some curry which may goes well with rotis and still remained around 2 cups.To use it up searched  in fridge and got some bread slices..I was planned to mix both bread and rajma for deep frying but after seeing the gooey mixture added some rice flour and thank god they fried well in oil..For deep frying this kind of snacks the mixture should be hard and thick..Ingredients list  looks like long but they are simple and in every home you can see those.Addin carrots is my personal choice and you can add any veggies which suits for deep frying.Try these when you pressure cook rajma next time and enjoy always hot.

PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30  MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Pressure cooked kidney beans/rajma coarsely mashed- 1 1/2 cup
rice flour-1/4 cup
bread slices-8 small size
green chili minced-1 tsp
red chili powder-1 tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP - 1 tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
coriander/dhaniya powder-1 tsp
cumin powder-1 tsp
cilantro/coriander leaves chopped-3-4 tbsp
carrot grated-1/2 cup
chanadal-1 tbsp
cumin-1 tsp
oil-1 tbsp +for deep frying (may be 1/2 litre)



HOW TO COOK

Heat pan with 1 tbsp oil.Saute chana dal and cumin for few seconds.then add finely chopped onion and green chili with salt and cook for few minutes..

Now add carrot n cook for 4-5 minutes in low flame  then  mashed rajma+GGP and all spice powders..Mix well and  add chopped cilantro leaves  and after 3 minutes off flame..

Dip bread slices in water and  mash finely...Mix this mashed bread in rajma bowl and add rice flour...

Now combine every thing well with fingers. If it looks too sticky add 1-2 tbsp of extra rice flour and keep aside this for few minutes.

Heat oil in deep bottomed kadai and another side,start shaping rajma bread mix into round shaped balls..Arrange all in a plate.

Once oil heats drop few  rajma balls and deep fry them in medium-low flame until turns dark brown in colour or til done..

Drain them on a kitchen paper towel and serve with coffee/tea..or serve with ketchup/chilli sauce..


MAHAS NOTES

Use good quality rice flour and while adding be careful..

Always deep fry any snacks in medium flame..Other wise out side they looks fine with brown colour,but inside mixture will be raw/un cooked.

You can use other vegetables like finely chopped green bell pepper or canned sweet corn or boiled green peas...

To use up the left over bread and kidney beans it`s a very good snack.

Adjust chili powder as per your taste..Don`t grind rajma.just mash with fingers.
