Gulab jamun is famous indian dessert which is favorite to most of the people and food lovers are more creative who are trying to introducing innovative gulab jamn recipes...I already posted few gulab jamun recipes in mahaslovleyhome and few days while thinking to use milk powder packet remmembered gulab jamuns..For a variataion I decided to try chocolate version.also thought to share with you all..I was perfect with pre planned recipe and the only big mistake which i did is added more baking soda..After baking so many cakes and cookies mind was stucked there in the same mood I thrown more soda which is not applicable in making of jamuns..Except the this reason jamuns are delicious in taste and it`s a worth try recipe for a change..While deep frying in oil I came to know my mistake and I was disappointed to click..But later I thought at least my recipe n experience may help others ..So,try this recipe but don`t do the mistake like me...Cooking need concentration and be awake in kitchen every minute..;)
WHAT YOU NEED
Milk powder-1 1/2 cup
cocoa powder-1/4 cup
sugar-1 cup for syrup
baking powder-1/4 tsp
baking soda - 2 pinches (perfect for recipe)
home made fresh panner-1 1/2cup
HOW TO COOK
Take a big bowl add milk powder.cocoa,paneer,baking powder and soda..Mix well all these with fingers..
Moist in the paneer helps to combined,still if it looks dry add little bit of milk.But I did n`t used any milk..
Knead it like dough and roll into medium or small sized balls and keep aside all these..You can stuff a chocolate piece in balls and shape it round again.
Mean while heat a vessel with sugar and 1/3 cup of water fro syrup..
Also turn on a kadai with oil for deep frying..Once the oil is hot slowly leave jamuns dough balls 5-6 at a time and deep fry them in oil at medium -low flame.
In bet ween check out the syrup..If it is one sting consistency off flame and close with lid.
Be patience and cook/fry.Don` t tempt to cook in high flame..Once done remove and shift jamuns to syrup..
Let them soak for few hours and serve cool..
