PEAS COCONUT MILK PULAV/BATANI KOBBARI PALU ANNAM/EASY INDIAN RICE RECIPES/AS ERVILHAS PULAV LEITE DE COCO



 I strongly votes ONE POT MEALS...It`s easy to make and most Important saves Time.This is my kind of Recipe...I used normal rice here..You can go with basmati rice..Adding coconut milk is the only different with regular Peas pulav.I also used chilli powder here..After adding coconut milk add enough water.You can also add some leaves like mint or cilantro for flavor..Adding whole spices in temper also gives a good taste..Finally serve hot always with raita....

CARROT RAITA

ONION TOMATO RAITA

WHAT YOU NEED

Normal rice or Basmati rice-2 cups
Frozen or fresh peas-1 1/2 cups
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
chili powder-1 tsp (to taste)
garam masala-1 tsp
onion-1 big
salt-to taste
coconut milk-1 cup
water- as needed

TO TEMPER
Oil-2 tbp
bay leaf-1
cumin-1 tsp
cinnamon-1/2 stick
cardamom pods opened -2
cloves-4
staranise-1 flower



HOW TO COOK

Wash and soak rice for 1/2 hr... If you are using fresh green peas boil for 5 minutes n drain.Wash peas and keep aside..Slice onions n chillies....

Heat a woke with oil and add cumin,cloves,cardamom,bay leaf,cinnamon stick..saute for few seconds..

Add onions and salt saute well til turns light brown in colour...

Now add in peas and mix well..Add chili powder,GGP and gara masala now...To this add drained rice and mix well...Then pour in coconut milk and enough water..

Keep flame in medium.after 5-8 minutes put in low n let it cook until rice done...

Once if rice cooked  perfectly turn off and serve hot with  raita..
