EASY SPICY RICH CASHEW CHICKEN CURRY/SOUTH INDIAN NON VEGETARIAN CHICKEN CURRY RECIPE/INDIAN CHICKEN RECIPES FOR ROTIS/FRANGO COM CAJU CARIL



Kaju  chicken is one of the easy and tasty curry which well goes with rice and even with rotis and parathas..This dish also perfectly matches in party menu because of its rich taste.the two important points are,you should use fresh cashews and chopped boneless chicken..yes..boneless cubed meat goes well in this curry or even you can use boned too.I used thigh pieces and it took extra time to cook..Other ingredients are very common which we use for every non-veg dish except soaking cashews in milk..Adding cream and full cream milk gives a delicious taste to the curry.Try this next time in your kitchen and feed your family delcious food.

COOKING TIME- 20-25 MINUTES



WHAT YOU NEED

Chicken thigh/leg  pieces(drum sticks)- 15/1 kg
cashews-16
milk-1/3 cup
onion-2 medium size
tomatoes-2 medium size
red chili powder-2-3 tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric power-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1/2 tsp
green chili-3-4 slitted
yogurt/curd-2 tbsp

TO TEMPER

Oil-2 tbsp
cardamom pods crushed-3
cloves-4
cinnamon stick- 1 inch stick
fennel seeds-1 tsp
black cumin-1 tsp



HOW TO COOK


Wash twice and thrice chicken and pressure cook for 10 minutes with little bit of  salt and 2 pinches of turmeric.

Chop onion and grind into puree..Soak cashews in milk for 15-20 minutes.Chop tomatoes and blend with cashews+milk green chili,salt,chili powder,turmeric.make it like fine puree.

Heat oil in pan and saute whole spices..Fry onion paste for few minutes or until raw smell oozes out and add tomato puree..

Cook for 3-5 minutes in medium flame and add yogurt..Mix well this after a minute add  pressure cooked chicken and mix well..

If it looks too thick add 1/4 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes in low flame.

Your chicken is done.add garam masala finally and some cilantro leaves chopped.


MAHAS NOTES

Because of using thigh pieces I pressure cooked it first.If you use boneless chicken no need to do this step.

Boneless chicken works out well for this recipe.

You can grind the whole spices along with tomato mixture.

Milk and yogurt both are Important for the recipe.soaking cashews milk gives a rich taste to the dish.
