EASY BANANA OATS PAYASAM WITH COCONUT MILK/SOUTH INDIAN FESTIVAL RECIPES/EASY PAYASAM RECIPES/PAZHAM PRADHAMAN



Iam a sweet tooth girl.Also, I like to experiment with innovative combinations.In the same way,this time I prepared this banana kheer.Til now I used bananas in juices,milk shakes and smoothies but never even imagined in payasam versions.With some hope I tried this kheer by using coconut milk for rich taste and it came out very delicious too..For a variation you can try this kheer. sure you will love it..




CATEGORY-SWEETS/BANANA/OATS

PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES






WHAT YOU NEED

Ripe bananas-4 medium size
jaggery/bellam-1/2 cup
coconut milk-2 cups
oats-1/2 cup
cardamom powder-1 tsp
cashews+almonds+raisins-5+5+5
ghee-1 tbsp




HOW TO COOK

Mash bananas and keep aside.Heat a pan with ghee and roast dry fruits and remove.

Then in the same pan add oats and roast for 2 minutes in low flame.

Now remove oats and add jaggery and 1 cup of milk. let it boil.

In this add oats and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.

Then add mashed banana and mix well..keep flame in low and add 1/2 cup of milk.

Cook for 3 minutes and add last half cup milk and stir it.

Finally add cardamom powder.Turn off and add dry fruits..

Serve warm or cool.


MAHAS NOTES

If jaggery is not good add water in jaggery and boil it for 4-5 minutes.then strain it and use.

Replace coconut milk with normal milk.

Add jaggery according to your taste,also,it `s depended on banana sweetness too.

If it looks too thick add 1/2 cup water or milk.

Use sugar in the place of jaggery If you like.
