MIXED DALS(LENTILS) AND RICE USING POWDER FOR INFANTS/HOME MADE BABY PROTEIN AND CEREAL POWDER/UGGU PODI/INDIAN HOME MADE HEALTHY BABY FOOD POWDER



This was the powder which I fed my two kids when they are months babies.. Motherhood is the one of the precious blessing of god to woman..Iam so lucky that I blessed with two beautiful,hand some boys..After 8 months of marriage I conceived and it was the precious second for we couple when doctor told the good news...Up to 5 months I suffered with vomitings and then started eating well..
health and weight of the baby is depended  on mother food habits when she is pregnant.Luckily we couple was very careful all the time and our both kids are very healthy when   they came into this world..After 3 months I started feeding banana,papaya,yogurt for my kids then after 7 th month started feeding this healthy powder.My MIL shared  this powder recipe and on my own idea i added oats and chick peas..I fed Mahadev from 8th month to 1.5 year and Mahadhip ate from 6-12 months only...It`s a very healthy protein packed powder for growing babies and always use fresh dals to make this.Try this If you are interested and let me know.

PREPARATION TIME-1 DAY
MAKING TIME-20 MNS

WHAT YOU NEED
Rice-2 cups
Toor dal/kandi pappu- 1 cup
urad dal/mina pappu-1 cup
chana dal/senaga pappu-1 cup
whole moong dal-1 cup
chick peas-1 cup
oats-1 cup
small kidney beans-1 cup

HOW TO MAKE
Except oats take remaining all in a big wide bowl and wash 3-4 times with water...
Then add enough water and keep aside for at least 8 hours...
Now drain the whole dals n rice and and spread on neat/dry cloth or dupatta.
Leave over night this or until the dals turns dry.
Then took all those into fresh bowl and dry roast in a big in batches wise.Then start start grinding..
First,Using a big jar grind 3 fistful of dals..It will be coarse..again run mixy and grind..
Then using colander sift it and take the coarse powder into small jar...
Using small jar grind the remained coarse dal powder again  for 2 times.
this time you can see the fine powder of coarse one and If you want sift it again...
Final powder should be very soft and smooth but not coarse.
Grind oats separately into fine powder after dry roasting and mix to the multi dals powder...
Your home made baby food powder is ready now..
HOW TO COOK
Take 2-3 tbsps of powder in a bowl and add enough water and start cooking on low flame..
Stir continuously until it turns thicken and creamy..When the time you can`t able to stir turn off and add lit bit salt and aromatic fresh ghee..
Once it is cool ,feed your baby with home made healthy porridge..

MAHAS NOTES
*Don`t  feed the babies who are below 5 months or underweight...
* I fed MAHADEV when he was 8 months old...My MIL told that, can start feeding when the baby completes 6 months(If the baby is healthy)
* Adding  chick peas oats n kidney beans are my choice.and It`s absolutely healthy..
*Never force baby to complete the whole bowl which you cooked..because it is healthy but not too tasty.. and they may vomit If you force..
* Adding salt and ghee is very Important and before feeding check the taste..
*In the starting I ground this powder very finely..When MAHADEV turned 12 months old baby I made it little bit coarse..
* My method of soaking whole dals is,in the afternoon time around 2pm I wash and up to 10 pm kept aside. Then spreading on cloth over night.(In winter times I plugged fan)

* Never dry the dals in direct sun light..and before grinding check twice that the dals are completely dry or not.
