Carrot tofu rice/pepper flavor carrot rice with soya milk cheese/How to make simple firm tofu rice/ vegan rice recipes/Step by step pictures


HI.
Carrot rice is familiar to every one which you people makes often with left rice rice.Here I used tofu along with grated carrot and combination of both main ingredients matched perfectly.You can try this like a pulav with chopped carrot instead of grating.....Tofu is a soya milk cheese with less in calories and vegans use it mostly when compare with others..This is a very healthy rice which goes in lunch and also for lunch box.If you want you can replace tofu with paneer,but it`s heavy in calories again...I like to try varieties with rice instead of taking white rice and you know MLH shared so many rice recipes too.as you all know carrot is a very good vegetable which is loaded with vitamins and when it cooks it gives a lovely aroma too. Try this carrot tofu rice and serve with any curry and raita or curd. Now,please take a look.

CURD RAITA RECIPES






Ingredients

cooked rice-2 cups
grated carrot-1cup
onion-1 small
tofu/soya milk cheese-100 grams
black pepper powder-1 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
chili powder-1/2 tsp
cumin powder-1 tsp
salt-to taste
birayani masala powder or garam masala-1 tsp
cumin-1tsp
urad dal-1tsp
oil-1 tbsp
bay leaf-1 small
ginger garlic paste(GGP)-1tsp
cilantro-to garnish


** Adjust the spice powders quantity according to your taste..**

Preparation

1.Take rice in a plate let it cool.Put tofu in a plate and cover with another plate and keep a heavy weight on top of it to remove excess of water

2.grate carrot well,chop onion finely. and take little bit of salt,red chili powder,garam masala and mix firmed tofu pieces..

3.heat a kadai or non stick pan add oil when it is little hot add tofu cubes and fry for few minutes til turns in golden color.then remove and add some more oil and saute urad dal,cumin,bay leaf.

4.now add GGP,onions,grated carrot,turmeric,tofu cubes and salt mix it well.let it cook for 5 minutes in low flame.

5. add cooked rice now and mix well then add cumin powder and .mix it well.cook for 2 more minutes.finally sprinkle black pepper powder and fold it well.

6.change into a serving bowl and serve hot with curry or raita...i like with curd.what about u?!!!!
