Tandoori cooking is quite unique and popular all over the india..Specially in restaurants,road side dhabas can see the tandoori clay pot commonly .Using tandoori method usually prepares chicken, naan and paneer dishes.But nowadays every one depending on oven making various dishes by following method of the original recipes.This tandoori chicken recipe is in my mind from a long time finally got the chance to try..
Chicken drumsticks are me and my kids favorite and we people enjoyed these baked drumsticks thoroughly. Actually these came out bit spicy so if you are making for kids better to adjust the red chili powder quantity.. PREPARATION TIME- 30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 50 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED
Chicken (thigh part)leg pieces-2 very big

TO MARINATE

red chili powder- to taste
salt
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
cumin powder-1 tsp
coriander powder-1tsp
tandoori masala-1 tsp
kasoori methi-1 tsp
food color orange red or red-2 pinches
black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
thick fresh yogurt-1/8 cup (can use 1/4 cup)
lemon juice-1 tbsp
chat masala-1/2-1 tsp
oil-2 tsbp

aluminium foil

HOW TO COOK

Wash chicken thigh pieces well and remove skin using sharp knife.put some slits on chicken..

take all the ingredients in a big bowl which mentioned above TO MARINATE""..
Make it like smooth paste and dip chicken pieces in it..Coat well with marination and keep aside fr 2 hours minimum..If possible,Over night is the best choice..
Then take aluminimu foil and big baking tray..Now,arrange foil in tray and apply some oil on it..Place this chicken pieces and apply some oil using spoon or brush..
Pre heat oven at 200 degree c..And place this tray ..Bake for 20 minutes.and turn chicken other side.Again bake it for 20 more minutes.
* It`s depended on your chicken piece quantity..In this recipe i baked exactly for 1 hour..And it was perfect..So,I prefer to you all to check after 20 minutes first,Then go for 15 more minutes.Check it and again still you feel,it`s not completed bake for few more minutes.
When you turn pieces brush chicken with some oil to prevent dry..
Once chicken meat baked perfecly,turn off and serve with sliced onions,cucumbers,lemon wedge and chili sauce..
