Lemon rice/Easy vegan rice recipes/Simple south indian left over rice recipes/step by step pictures


Ingredients

cooked rice-2 cups
roasted peanuts-1/2 cup
turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
lemon juice-2 tbsp
green chili-4-5 (I used red color)
onions-1small(optional)
salt-to taste

TO TEMPER
oil-2tbsps
mustrad seeds-1 tsp
cumin-1 tsp
curry leaves-1 sprig
dry red chillies-1
urad dal-1 tsp
chana dal-1 tsp
hing powder-2-3 pinches



Preparation

Take rice a open wide bowl or plate...add salt and lemon juice...mix well..

Heat oil in a kadai. prepare popu/temper with ingredients which mentioned under oil. add  one by one mustard,cumin,urad+chana dal,curryleaves,red chillies,turmeric and saute for 30 secs..

now add chopped onions and chili...fry for few minutes.....then add in rice..

Add  peanuts and in rice and combine every thing well..Your simple,easy lemon rice is ready....
