Motichoor Laddu/How to make motichoor ladoo with step by step pictures/Diwali recipes/Indian popular festival sweets


laddu/ladoo is one of the popular sweet in indian cuisine...It is considered as lord ganesh favorite prasad.There are so many varities of laddos are there in indian sweets category..In that,boondi laddu,motichoor laddu,mawa laddu,malai laddu are very famous...Boondi laddu and motichoor laddu are famous of rajasthan ...Already few days back,I posted boondi laddu recipe with step wise pictures and here iam sharing motichoor laddu recipe..There is no much difference in between boondi laddu and motichoor laddu.This laddu is little bit time consuming and these are bit small in size..In this we grind boondi mix and then gives shape of laddu..Adding color gives a beautiful look to this laddu,but I skipped (no actually forgotten)... Size is depended on yiur choice and I made them in medium size..These laddus texture is very soft and inside very juicy.....To make this laddus need some patienceand practice makes perfect.. Try carefully and by following each and every steps..Enjoy..:)


CATEGORY-SWEETS/ INDIAN TRADITIONAL SWEETS
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 45- 60 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

For boondi

besan flour/chick pea flour- 1 1/2 cup
milk-1 tbsp (optional)
orange or red food color-2 pinches (i skipped)

To Make Sugar Syrup

Sugar-2 cups
water-1 cup
cardamom powder-1 tsp

Oil-for deep fry
finely chopped almonds-2 tbsp


HOW TO COOK

take flour in a bowl and add food color....Now slowly add water and make a soft batter..It should be in medium consistency..not too thick or not too thin...

Now in another bowl add suagr and water and let it boil...Until one string syrup forms.Means,syeup should stick to your two fingers.Add cardamom powder and mix...Turn off now and keep aside.

Now heat a kadai with oil and keep ready a big bowl and spoon aside..When oil is hot,hold a perforated spoon (boondi jhara) over the hot oil and pour a cup of boondi batter on top and spread batter fastly with a spoon..

Fry boondi til light golden colour.be careful..other wise,it may turn into brown color..when boondi fried well or until boondi crispy...

Remove boondi into warm sugar syrup and repeat the boondi making process until batter finishes.

Now mix boondi syrup mixture once..Now take some boondi mix into mixy jar and grind it coarsely...You can add 1 tbsp hot water while grinding..

Once after bleding boondi mix,take it into bowl and add chopped almonds and any other nuts of you like...Mix well and shape them into laddus..

garnish with silver papers, and some more nuts..serve to family..
