I have some mutton recipes in mind from a long time and finally came time to cook..On my strong request,DH brought meat for us and each time I cooked different recipes til finish mutton and totally I got 6-7 recipes i think..I wonder some times how I stayed 5 years from non-veg before marriage...But now,being a wife and mother of meat lovers it`s very tough to avoid to eat or cook..Don`t know again I turns like vegetarin in future or not....For now DH is very happy and when we talk about foods he just stresses on sea food..God..Such a true food lover..One thing I must say here about him..He never complains about the taste and even if the food salt less,taste less he just eats quitely..Yes..Its happend in our lifes too..When I asked first time about the reason behind his silence,he said, that so many people are suffering for food,so,when we blessed with some thing it`s good to thank god,instead of complaining..I was impressed first time and til now he is same like that...The person who suffered in life knows the value of food,relations n money..It`s true...

PREPARATION TIME-  60 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-  40-50 MINUTES



WHAT YOU NEED

Raw mangoes-2 
onion-1big
boned mutton pieces- 400-500 grams
Oil- 3-4 tbsp
cloves-3
cumin-1 tsp
cinnamon stick-1 small
fennel seeds-1 tsp
cilantro leaves-fist ful

TO MARINATE MUTTON
red chili powder-to taste
salt
garam masala- 1 tsp
coriander+cumin powders-1+1 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp
yogurt- 1/2 cup (depends on mutton quantity)






HOW TO COOK

Wash mutton 2-3 times well and take it into colander..add all other ingredients which given "for marinating mutotn" in a bowl and mix mutton..marinate well..leave for over night or minimum 1-2 hrs..

 chop mangoes in big size pieces.. Chop onion too..

Turn on heat pressure cooker and add oil then saite whole spices which mentioned under oil..

Throw onions and fry til brown..Then add mautton..Mix well..After 5 minutes add in some more red chili powder,salt ( if you like) and 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 35- 40 minutes...Usually I follows clock..don`t counts whistles..;)

Then after openinglid of cooker add in mango pieces and cilantro leaves ( if you like or if it is too thick add some more water) and cook for 10 more minutes...Mutton needs lots of time to cook softly.So,don`t panic about timing..Also,it depended on size of pieces..

Then turn off and check whether it cooked completely or not...Then finally,throw some more chopped fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with white rice or pulav...



MAHAS NOTES

Use raw mangoes which tastes tangy.not sweet one..

If you don`t add curd in marination add 1 chopped tomato along with mangoe

Use spice powders acc to your taste..

I suggest to add enough water for a good gravy consistency..

Marination gives best result.so,don’t skip it in non-veg dishes which recommend
