Aratikaya Bajji | Raw Banana Fritters | Simple Indian Tea Time Snacks | Easy evening spicy snacks | Besan Flour Snacks


First time,I used raw bananas in kitchen,though I have seen lots of banana plants in foz,never tried to get few.In the present apartment,most of the people are from bangladesh and DH friend wife sent 2 bananas few days back...I have tried curry and this pakoda with those 2 big bananas..These are simple fritters which goes well as evening snack with hot tea..
You don`t need lots of ingredients to make this fritters and the procedure is so simple if the batter is ready.I know deep frying is not healthy,but once or twice in a month it works out..Is n`t it??!!! heheheh (It`s just a reason to enjoy the foods)...O.K..Try definitely next time and let me know your results..please..

PREPARATION TIME- 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15-20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Chick pea flour/besan flour/senaga pindi-1/2 cup
raw banana-1 big
red chili powder-1 tsp
salt- to taste
hing/inguva- 2 pinches
ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp (optional)
water-as needed to make batter

oil-for deep fry


HOW TO COOK

Peel skin,wash banana and cut into thin round shaped slices...Heat oil in kadai another side.

Take all the ingredients in a bowl and using water prepare fine batter..Don`t make it too thick or too thin...should be in medium consistency..

Now pour in banana slices and throw few in oil..Fry in medium flame, after a minute flip over another side..

both sides fry well until turns light golden color..But,careful while frying...Take them on kitchen paper towel and serve hot with tea..
