Baby corn Peas Masala | Baby corn Peas Gravy | Easy Baby corn Gravy Recipes | How to cook baby corn peas masala with step wise pictures


This is the first post of baby corn in Mahaslovelyhome..It`s easy to get corns or sweet corns tins in foz.but,til never observed baby corn in any super markets..By the way,what is you favorite hobby and what you prefers in regular shopping??In my case,I enjoys shopping anytime and always tries to find out the new food products or food related stuffs..Last month,we visited argentina and there I  bought this baby corn bottles..Yeah..These are not fresh baby corns,but if you get fresh ones can use in recipes too..I have also bought few dry fruits and nuts boxes to make a fruit cake.
That sounds Interesting right??!! Already last year posted two christamas cakes recipes which are included rum..But,this time Iam going to bake a fruit cake without alcohol. Oops..Iam diverting the main topic..

After getting this baby corn,my mind is filled with so many recipes and I prepared simple list of all the recipes and going to cook/share one by one..So,this if the first gravy with peas combination..Here,I used canned tomato puree for the base gravy,which gave a bright and attractive color to dish.It goes well with rotis and the process is very simple like, which we follow for paneer peas masala..When you adjust the quantities of spices according to your taste,recipe comes out nice and tasty.I was in hurry while cooking this and missed clicking each and every step.Hope this collage of step wise helps out you all to try out and please don`t forget to share with us if you have tried out any recipes from MLH..

CATEGORY- VEGETARIAN GRAVIES/MAIN COURSE
PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

onion-1 big 
tomato puree-1/2 cup
peas-3/4 cup
baby corns-10 small 
milk-1/2 cup
red chili powder-to taste
 salt-to taste
 garam masala-1 tsp
 coriander+cumin powders-1+1/2 tsp 
ginger garlic paste (GGP)-1/2 tbsp
 turmeric powder-1/2 tsp 
coriander leaves-fresh finely chopped (fistful)
 Oil-2 tbsp 
cumin-1 tsp
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
 fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
 cloves-3 
cinnamon stick-small 


HOW TO COOK

If you use,fresh baby corns boil for 5 minutes in high flame and strain them.Then chop into 1 inch size pieces...Also,if you are using fresh peas boil them in hot water for 5 minutes..

Here,I used frozen peas and bottled baby corns..So,I used directly..

Chop onion finely and now turn on heat,put vessel..Saute cumin, fennel seeds, cloves,cinnamon stick well and add onions,GGP now..

Fry until onions turns brown and add tomato puree/paste..Mix well and cook this for 3-5 minutes in low flame.

Then add all spice powders and mix once...Then add baby corn+peas and mix every thing nicely.

Close with lid and cook for 10 minutes in low flame,and add milk..Cook for 3-5 minutes again and turn off...

(If you used boiled baby corns,peas cook for 5 minutes in medium flame..add milk and cook for 5 more minutes...)

Serve hot with rotis,pulkas,naan..:)



MAHAS NOTES

You can grind onions into coarse puree..

You can use fresh tomato puree..Grind 2 medium fresh tomatoes into coarse puree or boil tomatoes,peel out skin and grind into puree..

Add 1 tsp kasoori methi for flavor..in the final (i.e., before adding milk..)

Add coconut milk for rich taste..Instead of peas use paneer for a change..
