MIX VEGETABLE VERMICELLI UPMA/SEMIYA UPMA/QUICK AND EASY BREAK FAST RECIPES


hey guys. I hope you all doing well..peluk today iam posting mixed vegetable vermicelli upma...kenyit It is one of the best upma to serve in break fast time or also can have a plate in dinner time.. The preparation also very easy and simple,if all the ingredients ready at home.. less than 30 minutes can prepare this.with all veggies it tastes very nice.here goes the recipe.

Ingredients

vermicelli- 1 cup
green chillies-4
peas-1/2cup(i used frozen)
carrot-1 chopped
potato-1/2cup (chopped)
ginger garlic paste(GGP)-1 tsp
onion-1 med size
tomato-1 small
ground nuts/peanuts-1/2 cup(toasted)
oil-2 tbsps
salt-to taste

TO TEMPER/POPU
mustard-1/2 tsp
cumin-1 tsp
urad dal &chana dal-1 tsp+1 tsp
curry leaves-1 sprig
cashews-5

Preparation
1.in a pan heat 1tsp of oil and toast the vermicelli for 3-5 minutes till it changes to light golden colour.
2.now in a kadai add other 1tsp of oil and add all tempering items followed by curry leaves and onions.fry till onion turns transparent.
3.add chopped green chillies and all veggies mix it and fry it for 3minutes.add salt and 1glass of water(adjust the level as you need).close it with a lid.let it cook until done.
4.add the vermicelli&ground nuts and check the water level.if need add some more water.
5.put it in the low flame and let it coo covered till the water is absorbed.
6.when it is completely done off the flame and after 10 minutes serve it.
you can garnish with coriander leaves.goes well with mango pickle.even curd too.
