Mahas boys school declared holidays and up to february,home will be noisy..Nowadays,Iam unable to spend time with blog in the weekends.O.k..Lets talk little about the recipe..This is a simple sago upma which  cooked with lemon touch..It`s a easy dish to prepare for break fast times or dinner times..Sago pearls very helpful to make this kind of simple upmas..I also tried 2 more recipes with sago and this week will share those ..For now,check this recipe and try it if you like..:)

WHAT YOU NEED

Sago/saggubiyyam/tapioca pearls- 3/4 cup
salt-to taste
green chilli-4-5
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
lemon juice -1 tsp
Onion-1 small
peanuts-1 fist ful

Oil-1 -2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
red chili-2
hing-2 pinches (optional)
curry leaves-5-6


HOW TO COOK

Wash and soak sago for 1 hour..Soaking time quantity is depended on sago variety..Here,I soaked almost 2 hours..

Turn on heat under a non stick pan..Add oil and fry the ingredients which mentioned under oil...

Saute onion finely chopped,green chillies for a minute.Add peanuts and mix well.

Throw in soaked sago without water...Add in turmeric powder,salt and mix well.

Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame and turn off.We are adding soaked sago,so it does n`t need much time, or cook until sago turns transparent.

Squeeze lemon juice and mix once again..You can add cilantro leaves If you have.Serve hot with any pickle..
