I have posted few laddu recipes previous.On this festival day I would like to share one more laddu recipe.This Banadru laddu or tokkudu laddu was originated in Machilipatnam (bandaru)  which is very popular in andhra.The making of process sounds bit different when you compare with other laddu recipes,but still you can finish making in 30 minutes.
These laddus are so soft and tastes delicious..This laddus don`t need much ghee,but still rich in taste and you can add any kind of nuts,like cashews,almonds or raisins for crunchiness.Here,Iam giving step wise pictures which helps you to try..Check out the complete recipe and try it..Don`t forget to share your pictures if you tried any recipes of Mahaslovelyhome


SOME MORE SOUTH INDIAN FESTIVAL (SWEETS) RECIPES










CATEGORY- SWEETS/PANDAGA PINDI VANTALU
PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTES 
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Chick pea flour/senaga pindi/besan flour/bengal gram flour- 1 cup
sugar-1 1/4 cups +water -1 cup
cardamom powder-1 tsp
cashew nuts or almonds -few
chironji nuts-2 tbsp
ghee- 2 tsp
oil-for deep fry


HOW TO COOK

Heat 1/2 litre oil in kadai ..Sift flour in a bowl..Add 2 tbsp of hot oil or ghee and mix with spoons..Then add enough water and make it like soft dough..Take muruku (chakli) maker apply oil inside..Now fill it with some dough..

Now carefully press the chakli maker in the oil to make a very big spiral...carefully press it and keep distance in between the bottom of the chakli maker and hot oil..

Deep fry it well in medium flame until turns crispy..Then drain the oil and take into a plate.

Repeat the same process with remaining dough like before.Then make a fine powder with the prepared murukus using mixy jar.

Now take sugar in bowl add water until sugar immerse and let it boil until the medium thick consistency syrup forms.. Add in cardamom powder.

Once after forming the syrup turn off..Now in the powdered muruku mixture add nuts and pour this sugar syrup..Mix it with spoon carefully and let it cool (5-10 minutes).. Also, add 2 tbsp of warm ghee for rich taste if you like. (I added less syrup,but i suggest to add whole 1 cup sugar syrup)

After few minutes apply some ghee/clarified butter to palms and take lemon size of mixture and make it like laddu..

Your Bandaru laddus are ready to serve now.

MAHAS NOTES

You can fry muruku until brown in color.but,don`t burn it.

I added less sugar syrup and after few hours laddus turned bit hard.But,later I understood that adding more sugar syrup does n`t spoils the laddus.

For a soft looks you should add good amount of sugar syrup and ghee (2 tbsp) then make laddus.

Blending muruku into fine powder gives a nice texture..
