Mushroom Mint Pulav | Mushroom Mint Rice | Quick And Easy Vegetarian Rice Recipes | Simple Rice Recipes

A simple one pot meals with mint and mushroom combination...You can cook this in less than one hour and it goes well with curd or any raita....




CATEGORY- VEG RICE/RICE
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Mushrooms -1 cup
mint leaves- hand ful
green chili- 4-5
salt
Rice-1 - 1/2 cups
onion-1 medium size
ginger garlic paste (GGP) -1 tsp
oil-2 tbsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp
bay leaf-1
cloves-2
cardamom pods-2 small
cinnamon stick-1 inch



HOW TO COOK

Wash mint leaves and blend into fine paste with some water..Chop onion finely..Strain mushrooms..Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes..

Heat oil in woke,fry whole masala ingredients...Add in onion,GGP and fry til brown in color then add around 1/2 cup of ground mint paste,chopped green chili,salt and saute for 2 minutes in medium flame.

Now throw in mushrooms and mix well every thing..Cook for 4-5  minutes in low flame and add soaked rice along with enough water...

Cook til rice done and turn off..Serve hot with raita and gravy...



MAHAS NOTES

With mint leaves grind cumin,cardamom,cinnamon,green chili for a change..

I used canned mushrooms.You can go with fresh one too..

I used normal rice,but basmati rice gives a nice texture..
