Vermicelli Chicken Pulav | Easy chicken pulav without rice | Semiya Chicken Pilaf | Step by step pictures | Vermicelli (Semiya) Recipes

Hey..Guys..How are you all...Hope you all enjoying the wonderful sunday...Today Iam introducing a simple dish which is a combination with chicken and vermicelli..Every one knows chicken pulav which folds with rice and chicken..But,here for a change I used vermicelli and its totally a big hit..Rice is loaded with carbohydrates which increase calories easily..
So,this kind of variations are much better to enjoy without any guilt..Next time,instead of trying regular vermicelli upma or chicken pulav try this innovative combination and definitely ypu`ll like it...I promise....

PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Dry roasted Vermicelli-1 cup
garam masala-1 tsp
red chili powder-to taste
salt- to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
coriander+cumin powders-1/2 tsp+1/2 tsp
onion-1 medium size
lemon juice-2 tsps
ginger garlic paste (GGP) -1/2 tbsp
boneless chicken-250 grams
mint+cilantro leaves-2 handfuls
cumin-1 tsp
oil -2 tbsp
cinnamon stick-1 inch
bay leaf-1 small
cloves-3
green cardamom pod-1 



HOW TO COOK

Marinate chicken with garam masala,red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,coriander+cumin powders,lemon juice and GGP for over night or at least 2 hours..

Heat a vessel with oil and fry whole garam masala ingredients..Then add chopped onion,GGP and saute until brown..

Now add in marinated chicken.mix and cook for 3 minutes..Add in mint+cilantro leaves and mix every thing well..

Now add in dry roasted vermicelli and combine every thing..

Add in enough water (1 3/4 -2 cups ) and mix finally.Cook for 15-20 minutes in low flame or until semiya/vermicelli  done...



MAHAS NOTES

you can add veggies like carrots,beans,peas,sweet corn or mushroom for more healthy..

I don`t measure while cooking even water quantity..So,approx saying to add 2 cups of water to cook vermicelli..But,please adjust it acc to your choice...

Add dry roasted vermicelli not fresh one..

Adding mint+cilantro leaves gives a good flavor..

Boneless is important in this recipe which takes less time to cook and looks fine with vermicelli..

Marinating chicken in an optional.If you don`t have time add fresh chicken which is washed well,then add all spice powders..
