Iam not a big fish lover..Hehhehe.This line sounds silly..What Iam trying to say is,I don`t like fish much when compares with chicken,mutton or even prawns...Some times,I surprises my self that how I stayed away to non-veg..Yup...Wedding brings lot of changes in life..though I managed for 4 years,on hubby force started again in 2013..I believe,that who loves to eat also loves to cook..Is n`t that true...o.k..Lets talk little bit about recipe..
DH don`t likes south indian style spicy fish gravies..Though Iam also not a big fan of this kind of gravies,just for a trial I thought to try this version...Except preparing masala paste the remaining method is very easy...Those who likes fish curries can try this easy version which takes less than 30 minutes to cook...If you are tired with routine fish dishes,try this version.Don`t forget to share your opinions too..

WHAT YOU NEED

fish pieces-1/2 kg
oil--3 tbsp
onion-2 big
ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp (optional)
green chilli-3
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
red chili powder-2 tsp or as per your  taste
salt -to taste
tamarind pulp-lemon size ball
curry leaves-1 sprig
cilantro leaves-hadnful (I skipped)

For masala paste

garlic cloves-10 small
cloves-4-5
coconut powder-1 tbsp (optional)
cinnamon stick-1 inch stick
cumin seeds-1 tsp
cardamom pods-3
gasagasalu/khuskhus-1 tsp
fennel seeds-1/2 tsp (optional)
coriander seeds-1 tbsp


HOW TO COOK


Soak tamarind in 1 cup of water and squueze out juice..take all the ingredients which mentioned under for masala paste in mixy jar and blend into fine paste  using 1/4 cup water.

Wash fish pieces carefully..Take fish in a bowl add  turmeric powder,red chili powder,salt and close with lid..Gently shake the bowl to coat the spices to fish pieces.

Then add chopped oil,onion,ginger garlic paste,green chilli and again shake ti well carefully..

Now add in masala paste,.Mix every thing well..

Add 2 cups of water and cook in medium flame for 10 minutes..Now add tamarind water,curry leaves and cook for 10 minutes in medium flame.

Then add cilantro leaves.Cook for 5 more minutes or until gravy turns thick and turn off.

Serve hot with rice.
