Indian Style Quinoa Lemon Upma | Healthy Vegetarian South Indian Break fast Recipes | Gluten free Quinoa Upma |Vegan Quinoa Recipes


Iam loving lot quinoa these day,already posted quinoa pulav and quinao curd rice..Today iam going to introduce on more quinoa recipe which is very easy to cook and 100% guilt free.. It is a simple upma with my choice of vegetables and for a twist squeezed lemon juice,so it is little big tangy in taste..
But,it is an option only,if you don`t like can omit it and cook like regular rava upma..You can add any veggies of your choice,even mushrooms also fine in this recipe..Try it if you like quinoa and enjoy..:)

PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED


quinoa-1/2 cup
onion-1 small
potato-1 small

peas-1/2 cup
lemon juice-1 small lemon

sweet corn-1/2 cup
ginger garlic paste/GGP-2 tsp1 tsp garam masala- optional
salt -to taste

To temper
Oil-2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1 tsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp

red chili-5

hing/asafetida-2-3 pinches
cilantro leaves-hand ful




HOW TO COOK

Wash quinoa  2-3 times and soak in water for 20 minutes..Now in a vessel heat 1 cup of water,while boiling add quinoa and cook until quinoa turns soft..

heat a non stick pan with oil..Saute all the ingredients which mentioned under to temper..Fry half minute add in chopped onion,potato,GGP and saute until turns soft..

Add in peas,sweet corn and throw in salt..Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.Add in water and let it boil..

Now squeeze lemon juice and add cooked quinoa..
