Butter beans or lima beans are easily available here in foz...These are rich in taste and can cook curries or gravies which matches perfectly with flat breads like rotis or pulkas. one pot meals are easy to cook and filling too.This butter beans pulao is very easy to make and healthy too because of adding cilantro, mint leaves.
You can serve this simple pulao with raita or curd and it does`n t needed any gravy or curry..Here I used dried beans so,pressure cooking is must before going to process.If you are using fresh beans can cook directly.grinding paste of mint and cilantro is an important step in the recipe which gives a good flavor and reduces the cooking time.I served thsi with simple carrot raita but you can serve with any of your choice.

Ingredients

1 cup lima bean (par boil bean, remove skin)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste/GGP
1/2 tspturmeric powder
2 cups basmati or normal rice
1/2 tbsp oil + 1/2 tbsp ghee
4 cloves +1″ cinnamon+1 green cardamom pod+1 bay leaf+1 tsp fennel seeds+1 tsp cumin 
salt to taste
To make a paste
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 cup chopped pudina leaves
2-3 green chilli
1 small tomato
1 medium size onion, chopped

How to cook
Pressure cook butter beans for 10 minutes in medium flame and keep aside.Make a fine paste with mentioned ingredients and keep this also aside.wash rice twice and soak in water for 30 minutes.
Heat oil+ghee in a vessel, add in whole spices and saute for half a minute. Add in ground paste and saute for 5 minutes. Add in pressure cooked beans,turmeric and ginger garlic paste.Saute for another 10-15 minutes in low flame.
Now add in washed rice and 4 cups water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover with lid and cook till the rice is done.serve hot with raita or curd.
