Mutton Do Pyaza | Mutton Do Piaza | Indian Style Mutton Dopiaza Curry | Easy Indian mutton Gravies For Rice and Roti | Gosht Curries

Happy saturday friends.Today Iam introducing another mutton dish which is very popular al lover the india..It is nothing but mutton pyaza means where we add onions two times in the cooking process.This curry is quite simple to make,tastes very spicy and delicious.the name of the dish itself gives the hint that it contains lots of onions..
But,I added 3 onions actually, you can add 2 more medium size onions if you like.According to the legend the dish was created when a courtier of Mughal emperor Akbar Mullah Do Piaza accidentally added a large quantity of onions to a dish. The dish evolved further in Hyderabad, India, and became a staple of Hyderabadi cuisine.So,try this on this weekend and enjoy with family..:)

Easy Mutton Curry/Gravy Recipes 

CATEGORY- Easy Mutton Recipes | lamb meat curry recipes

Mutton (goat meat or lamb meat)- 350 grams
Onion-3 medium size finely chopped +1 sliced
Tomato-1 large 
Ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tbsp
Salt-to taste
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-/­2 tsp
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
garam masala powder -1 tsp
Coriander leaves-to garnish
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
oil-2-3 tbsp
whole garam masala ingredients
Cloves 4
green cardamom 2
Black pepper corns-5-6
Whole red chillies-2
 large cardamom 2 (i skipped)
cinnamon stick-1 inch
cumin-1 tsp
black cumin/shahejeera-1/2 tsp
 bay leaf 1 


1) Add oil in pressure cooker,heat it, add bay leaf, cinnamon ,cloves, cumin,cardamoms black pepper whole red chillies,black cumin. Fry them.

2) Add onion and fry till becomes light pink or brown fry on medium heat.also throw in GGP,,saute well..

3) Add in mutton and mix add chopped tomatoes and turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder,cumin powder,garam masala,salt.

4) Cook for 5 minutes and add 2 cups of water. Close the lid,pressure cook for 35-40 minutes or til the mutton cooks soft.Mean while fry sliced onion in another pan with 1 tsp of oil and throw in  after pressure cooking mutton.

5) turn off now,throw some cilantro leaves.mix and serve hot with rice.
