Mutton pasanda is the ultimate gravy and one of famous dish of mutton. In this you can use boneless meat or boned meat too..So,I went with boned meat as usaually.Pasanda is a wonderful meaty recipe to make your cooking special in your kitchen. It is so easy to

prepare at home.

You can prepare it for lunch, dinner and any special occasion party. Serve it with tandoori roti and Salad. Easy Mutton Curry/Gravy Recipes

PREPARATION TIME- 30 MINUTES
MARINATION TIME-2 HOURS
COOKING TIME- 50 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Mutton with bone (lamb meat or goat meat)-250 grams
Onion-­2 medium size (chopped)
Tomato-2 medium size (chopped)
Coriander leaves-2 tbsp
Oil- 2+2 tbsp
Ginger & garlic paste/GGP-1 tbsp
Garam masala powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt-to taste
whole garam masala ingredients
black cumin/shahejeera-1 tsp
Cloves 4
green cardamom 2
Black pepper corns-5-6
Whole red chillies-2
 large cardamom 2 (i skipped)
cinnamon stick-1 inch
cumin-1 tsp
 bay leaf 1 

To grind into fine paste


Poppy seeds or khus khus.. 1 tbsp

Coconut powder- 1/4 cup (grated)

cilantro leaves-few/loosely packed 1/2 cup
Green chilli-­7-8


HOW TO COOK

1. Make a paste of poppy seeds, coconut, green chilli, coriander leaves in a grinder.

2.Wash and take the mutton in a bowl add ginger garlic paste,above ground coconut paste and salt to it and marinate for 1-2 hours.

3. Heat up the 2tbsp oil in a pressure cooker,saute whole garam masala ingredients, put marinated mutton and cook for 5 minutes in high flame. add 1 cup of water close the lid and pressure cook for 30-40 min.

4. Open the lid and cook the mutton until all the water evaporates. Heat up 2 tbsp oil in another wok put bay leaf,cumin,onion and cook until it becomes light brown.add tomatoes and mix well.Now throw turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder,cumin powder,garam maslaa,salt and cook for 3-4 min. add mutton and water now cook on slow flame until the oil oozes out. Finally add some freshly chopped cilantro leaves and turn off.

5. Mutton pasanda is ready to serve now..
